يُبَشِّرُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَرِضْوَانٍ وَّجَنّٰتٍ لَّهُمْ فِيْهَا نَعِيْمٌ مُّقِيْمٌۙ ٢١
- yubashiruhum
- يُبَشِّرُهُمْ
- Their Lord gives them glad tidings
- rabbuhum
- رَبُّهُم
- Their Lord gives them glad tidings
- biraḥmatin
- بِرَحْمَةٍ
- of Mercy
- min'hu
- مِّنْهُ
- from Him
- wariḍ'wānin
- وَرِضْوَٰنٍ
- and Pleasure
- wajannātin
- وَجَنَّٰتٍ
- and Gardens
- lahum
- لَّهُمْ
- for them
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- naʿīmun
- نَعِيمٌ
- (is) bliss
- muqīmun
- مُّقِيمٌ
- enduring
Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 21)Tafsir
خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ اَبَدًا ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عِنْدَهٗٓ اَجْرٌ عَظِيْمٌ ٢٢
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- (They will) abide
- fīhā
- فِيهَآ
- in it
- abadan
- أَبَدًاۚ
- forever
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah -
- ʿindahu
- عِندَهُۥٓ
- with Him
- ajrun
- أَجْرٌ
- (is) a reward
- ʿaẓīmun
- عَظِيمٌ
- great
[They will be] abiding therein forever. Indeed, Allah has with Him a great reward. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 22)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَتَّخِذُوْٓا اٰبَاۤءَكُمْ وَاِخْوَانَكُمْ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ اِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْاِيْمَانِۗ وَمَنْ يَّتَوَلَّهُمْ مِّنْكُمْ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٢٣
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe!
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- tattakhidhū
- تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟
- take
- ābāakum
- ءَابَآءَكُمْ
- your fathers
- wa-ikh'wānakum
- وَإِخْوَٰنَكُمْ
- and your brothers
- awliyāa
- أَوْلِيَآءَ
- (as) allies
- ini
- إِنِ
- if
- is'taḥabbū
- ٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟
- they prefer
- l-kuf'ra
- ٱلْكُفْرَ
- [the] disbelief
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- over
- l-īmāni
- ٱلْإِيمَٰنِۚ
- [the] belief
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yatawallahum
- يَتَوَلَّهُم
- takes them as allies
- minkum
- مِّنكُمْ
- among you
- fa-ulāika
- فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- then those
- humu
- هُمُ
- [they]
- l-ẓālimūna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- (are) the wrongdoers
O you who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief. And whoever does so among you – then it is those who are the wrongdoers. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 23)Tafsir
قُلْ اِنْ كَانَ اٰبَاۤؤُكُمْ وَاَبْنَاۤؤُكُمْ وَاِخْوَانُكُمْ وَاَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيْرَتُكُمْ وَاَمْوَالُ ِۨاقْتَرَفْتُمُوْهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسٰكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَآ اَحَبَّ اِلَيْكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ وَجِهَادٍ فِيْ سَبِيْلِهٖ فَتَرَبَّصُوْا حَتّٰى يَأْتِيَ اللّٰهُ بِاَمْرِهٖۗ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِيْنَ ࣖ ٢٤

- قُلْ
- Say
- in
- إِن
- "If
- kāna
- كَانَ
- are
- ābāukum
- ءَابَآؤُكُمْ
- your fathers
- wa-abnāukum
- وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ
- and your sons
- wa-ikh'wānukum
- وَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ
- and your brothers
- wa-azwājukum
- وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ
- and your spouses
- waʿashīratukum
- وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ
- and your relatives
- wa-amwālun
- وَأَمْوَٰلٌ
- and wealth
- iq'taraftumūhā
- ٱقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا
- that you have acquired
- watijāratun
- وَتِجَٰرَةٌ
- and the commerce
- takhshawna
- تَخْشَوْنَ
- you fear
- kasādahā
- كَسَادَهَا
- a decline (in) it
- wamasākinu
- وَمَسَٰكِنُ
- and the dwellings
- tarḍawnahā
- تَرْضَوْنَهَآ
- you delight (in) it
- aḥabba
- أَحَبَّ
- (are) more beloved
- ilaykum
- إِلَيْكُم
- to you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- than
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- warasūlihi
- وَرَسُولِهِۦ
- and His Messenger
- wajihādin
- وَجِهَادٍ
- and striving
- fī
- فِى
- in
- sabīlihi
- سَبِيلِهِۦ
- His way
- fatarabbaṣū
- فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟
- then wait
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yatiya
- يَأْتِىَ
- Allah brings
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah brings
- bi-amrihi
- بِأَمْرِهِۦۗ
- His Command
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- l-qawma
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people
- l-fāsiqīna
- ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
- the defiantly disobedient"
Say, [O Muhammad], "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and jihad [i.e., striving] in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people." (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 24)Tafsir
لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّٰهُ فِيْ مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيْرَةٍۙ وَّيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍۙ اِذْ اَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنْكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَّضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْاَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُمْ مُّدْبِرِيْنَۚ ٢٥

- لَقَدْ
- Verily
- naṣarakumu
- نَصَرَكُمُ
- Allah helped you
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah helped you
- fī
- فِى
- in
- mawāṭina
- مَوَاطِنَ
- regions
- kathīratin
- كَثِيرَةٍۙ
- many
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- and (on the) day
- ḥunaynin
- حُنَيْنٍۙ
- (of) Hunain
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- aʿjabatkum
- أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ
- pleased you
- kathratukum
- كَثْرَتُكُمْ
- your multitude
- falam
- فَلَمْ
- but not
- tugh'ni
- تُغْنِ
- availed
- ʿankum
- عَنكُمْ
- you
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- waḍāqat
- وَضَاقَتْ
- and (was) straitened
- ʿalaykumu
- عَلَيْكُمُ
- for you
- l-arḍu
- ٱلْأَرْضُ
- the earth
- bimā
- بِمَا
- (in spite) of its vastness
- raḥubat
- رَحُبَتْ
- (in spite) of its vastness
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- wallaytum
- وَلَّيْتُم
- you turned back
- mud'birīna
- مُّدْبِرِينَ
- fleeing
Allah has already given you victory in many regions and [even] on the day of Hunayn, when your great number pleased you, but it did not avail you at all, and the earth was confining for you with [i.e., in spite of] its vastness; then you turned back, fleeing. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 25)Tafsir
ثُمَّ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ سَكِيْنَتَهٗ عَلٰى رَسُوْلِهٖ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَاَنْزَلَ جُنُوْدًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْاۗ وَذٰلِكَ جَزَاۤءُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٢٦
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- anzala
- أَنزَلَ
- Allah sent down
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah sent down
- sakīnatahu
- سَكِينَتَهُۥ
- His tranquility
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- rasūlihi
- رَسُولِهِۦ
- His Messenger
- waʿalā
- وَعَلَى
- and on
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
- wa-anzala
- وَأَنزَلَ
- and sent down
- junūdan
- جُنُودًا
- forces
- lam
- لَّمْ
- which you did not see
- tarawhā
- تَرَوْهَا
- which you did not see
- waʿadhaba
- وَعَذَّبَ
- and He punished
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟ۚ
- disbelieved
- wadhālika
- وَذَٰلِكَ
- And that
- jazāu
- جَزَآءُ
- (is) the recompense
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- (of) the disbelievers
Then Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers [i.e., angels] whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 26)Tafsir
ثُمَّ يَتُوْبُ اللّٰهُ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ عَلٰى مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٢٧
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- yatūbu
- يَتُوبُ
- Allah accepts repentance
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah accepts repentance
- min
- مِنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- for
- man
- مَن
- whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۗ
- He wills
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- ghafūrun
- غَفُورٌ
- (is) Oft-Forgiving
- raḥīmun
- رَّحِيمٌ
- Most Merciful
Then Allah will accept repentance after that for whom He wills; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 27)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُوْنَ نَجَسٌ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هٰذَا ۚوَاِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيْكُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖٓ اِنْ شَاۤءَۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ ٢٨
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you who believe!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- O you who believe!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- O you who believe!
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Indeed
- l-mush'rikūna
- ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ
- the polytheists
- najasun
- نَجَسٌ
- (are) unclean
- falā
- فَلَا
- so let them not come near
- yaqrabū
- يَقْرَبُوا۟
- so let them not come near
- l-masjida
- ٱلْمَسْجِدَ
- Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
- l-ḥarāma
- ٱلْحَرَامَ
- Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- ʿāmihim
- عَامِهِمْ
- this, their (final) year
- hādhā
- هَٰذَاۚ
- this, their (final) year
- wa-in
- وَإِنْ
- And if
- khif'tum
- خِفْتُمْ
- you fear
- ʿaylatan
- عَيْلَةً
- poverty
- fasawfa
- فَسَوْفَ
- then soon
- yugh'nīkumu
- يُغْنِيكُمُ
- Allah will enrich you
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah will enrich you
- min
- مِن
- from
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦٓ
- His Bounty
- in
- إِن
- if
- shāa
- شَآءَۚ
- He wills
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌ
- (is) All-Knower
- ḥakīmun
- حَكِيمٌ
- All-Wise
O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this, their [final] year. And if you fear privation, Allah will enrich you from His bounty if He wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 28)Tafsir
قَاتِلُوا الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُوْنَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَلَا يَدِيْنُوْنَ دِيْنَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ حَتّٰى يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَّدٍ وَّهُمْ صَاغِرُوْنَ ࣖ ٢٩
- qātilū
- قَٰتِلُوا۟
- Fight
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- bil-yawmi
- بِٱلْيَوْمِ
- in the Day
- l-ākhiri
- ٱلْءَاخِرِ
- the Last
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yuḥarrimūna
- يُحَرِّمُونَ
- they make unlawful
- mā
- مَا
- what
- ḥarrama
- حَرَّمَ
- Allah has made unlawful
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has made unlawful
- warasūluhu
- وَرَسُولُهُۥ
- and His Messenger
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yadīnūna
- يَدِينُونَ
- they acknowledge
- dīna
- دِينَ
- (the) religion
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- (of) the truth
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- were given
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Scripture
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yuʿ'ṭū
- يُعْطُوا۟
- they pay
- l-jiz'yata
- ٱلْجِزْيَةَ
- the jizyah
- ʿan
- عَن
- willingly
- yadin
- يَدٍ
- willingly
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- ṣāghirūna
- صَٰغِرُونَ
- (are) subdued
Fight against those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth [i.e., IsLam] from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 29)Tafsir
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُوْدُ عُزَيْرُ ِۨابْنُ اللّٰهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصٰرَى الْمَسِيْحُ ابْنُ اللّٰهِ ۗذٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُمْ بِاَفْوَاهِهِمْۚ يُضَاهِـُٔوْنَ قَوْلَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗقَاتَلَهُمُ اللّٰهُ ۚ اَنّٰى يُؤْفَكُوْنَ ٣٠
- waqālati
- وَقَالَتِ
- And said
- l-yahūdu
- ٱلْيَهُودُ
- the Jews
- ʿuzayrun
- عُزَيْرٌ
- "Uzair
- ub'nu
- ٱبْنُ
- (is) son
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah"
- waqālati
- وَقَالَتِ
- And said
- l-naṣārā
- ٱلنَّصَٰرَى
- the Christians
- l-masīḥu
- ٱلْمَسِيحُ
- "Messiah
- ub'nu
- ٱبْنُ
- (is) son
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- (of) Allah"
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- qawluhum
- قَوْلُهُم
- (is) their saying
- bi-afwāhihim
- بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْۖ
- with their mouths
- yuḍāhiūna
- يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ
- they imitate
- qawla
- قَوْلَ
- the saying
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- min
- مِن
- before
- qablu
- قَبْلُۚ
- before
- qātalahumu
- قَٰتَلَهُمُ
- (May) Allah destroy them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۚ
- (May) Allah destroy them
- annā
- أَنَّىٰ
- How
- yu'fakūna
- يُؤْفَكُونَ
- deluded are they!
The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah"; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before [them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 30)Tafsir
