لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِيْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ اُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوا اللّٰهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْاٰخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللّٰهَ كَثِيْرًاۗ ٢١
- laqad
- لَّقَدْ
- Certainly
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- fī
- فِى
- in
- rasūli
- رَسُولِ
- (the) Messenger
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- us'watun
- أُسْوَةٌ
- an excellent example
- ḥasanatun
- حَسَنَةٌ
- an excellent example
- liman
- لِّمَن
- for (one) who
- kāna
- كَانَ
- has
- yarjū
- يَرْجُوا۟
- hope
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- (in) Allah
- wal-yawma
- وَٱلْيَوْمَ
- and the Day
- l-ākhira
- ٱلْءَاخِرَ
- the Last
- wadhakara
- وَذَكَرَ
- and remembers
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- much
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 21)Tafsir
وَلَمَّا رَاَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ الْاَحْزَابَۙ قَالُوْا هٰذَا مَا وَعَدَنَا اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَصَدَقَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ ۖوَمَا زَادَهُمْ اِلَّآ اِيْمَانًا وَّتَسْلِيْمًاۗ ٢٢
- walammā
- وَلَمَّا
- And when
- raā
- رَءَا
- saw
- l-mu'minūna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
- the believers
- l-aḥzāba
- ٱلْأَحْزَابَ
- the confederates
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- "This
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- waʿadanā
- وَعَدَنَا
- Allah promised us
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah promised us
- warasūluhu
- وَرَسُولُهُۥ
- and His Messenger
- waṣadaqa
- وَصَدَقَ
- and Allah spoke the truth
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- and Allah spoke the truth
- warasūluhu
- وَرَسُولُهُۥۚ
- and His Messenger
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- zādahum
- زَادَهُمْ
- it increased them
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- īmānan
- إِيمَٰنًا
- (in) faith
- wataslīman
- وَتَسْلِيمًا
- and submission
And when the believers saw the companies, they said, "This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth." And it increased them only in faith and acceptance. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 22)Tafsir
مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوْا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ قَضٰى نَحْبَهٗۙ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّنْتَظِرُ ۖوَمَا بَدَّلُوْا تَبْدِيْلًاۙ ٢٣
- mina
- مِّنَ
- Among
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
- rijālun
- رِجَالٌ
- (are) men
- ṣadaqū
- صَدَقُوا۟
- (who) have been true
- mā
- مَا
- (to) what
- ʿāhadū
- عَٰهَدُوا۟
- they promised Allah
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- they promised Allah
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِۖ
- [on it]
- famin'hum
- فَمِنْهُم
- And among them
- man
- مَّن
- (is he) who
- qaḍā
- قَضَىٰ
- has fulfilled
- naḥbahu
- نَحْبَهُۥ
- his vow
- wamin'hum
- وَمِنْهُم
- and among them
- man
- مَّن
- (is he) who
- yantaẓiru
- يَنتَظِرُۖ
- awaits
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- baddalū
- بَدَّلُوا۟
- they alter
- tabdīlan
- تَبْدِيلًا
- (by) any alteration
Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration – (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 23)Tafsir
لِيَجْزِيَ اللّٰهُ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ بِصِدْقِهِمْ وَيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ اِنْ شَاۤءَ اَوْ يَتُوْبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًاۚ ٢٤
- liyajziya
- لِّيَجْزِىَ
- That Allah may reward
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- That Allah may reward
- l-ṣādiqīna
- ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
- the truthful
- biṣid'qihim
- بِصِدْقِهِمْ
- for their truth
- wayuʿadhiba
- وَيُعَذِّبَ
- and punish
- l-munāfiqīna
- ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ
- the hypocrites
- in
- إِن
- if
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- He wills
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- yatūba
- يَتُوبَ
- turn in mercy
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْۚ
- to them
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- ghafūran
- غَفُورًا
- Oft-Forgiving
- raḥīman
- رَّحِيمًا
- Most Merciful
That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 24)Tafsir
وَرَدَّ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِغَيْظِهِمْ لَمْ يَنَالُوْا خَيْرًا ۗوَكَفَى اللّٰهُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ الْقِتَالَ ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ قَوِيًّا عَزِيْزًاۚ ٢٥
- waradda
- وَرَدَّ
- And Allah turned back
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah turned back
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- bighayẓihim
- بِغَيْظِهِمْ
- in their rage
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yanālū
- يَنَالُوا۟
- they obtained
- khayran
- خَيْرًاۚ
- any good
- wakafā
- وَكَفَى
- And sufficient is
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- (for) the believers
- l-qitāla
- ٱلْقِتَالَۚ
- (in) the battle
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- and Allah is
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- and Allah is
- qawiyyan
- قَوِيًّا
- All-Strong
- ʿazīzan
- عَزِيزًا
- All-Mighty
And Allah repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was Allah for the believers in battle, and ever is Allah Powerful and Exalted in Might. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 25)Tafsir
وَاَنْزَلَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَاهَرُوْهُمْ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ مِنْ صَيَاصِيْهِمْ وَقَذَفَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ فَرِيْقًا تَقْتُلُوْنَ وَتَأْسِرُوْنَ فَرِيْقًاۚ ٢٦
- wa-anzala
- وَأَنزَلَ
- And He brought down
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ẓāharūhum
- ظَٰهَرُوهُم
- backed them
- min
- مِّنْ
- among
- ahli
- أَهْلِ
- (the) People
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (of) the Scripture
- min
- مِن
- from
- ṣayāṣīhim
- صَيَاصِيهِمْ
- their fortresses
- waqadhafa
- وَقَذَفَ
- and cast
- fī
- فِى
- into
- qulūbihimu
- قُلُوبِهِمُ
- their hearts
- l-ruʿ'ba
- ٱلرُّعْبَ
- [the] terror
- farīqan
- فَرِيقًا
- a group
- taqtulūna
- تَقْتُلُونَ
- you killed
- watasirūna
- وَتَأْسِرُونَ
- and you took captive
- farīqan
- فَرِيقًا
- a group
And He brought down those who supported them among the People of the Scripture from their fortresses and cast terror into their hearts [so that] a party [i.e., their men] you killed, and you took captive a party [i.e., the women and children]. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 26)Tafsir
وَاَوْرَثَكُمْ اَرْضَهُمْ وَدِيَارَهُمْ وَاَمْوَالَهُمْ وَاَرْضًا لَّمْ تَطَـُٔوْهَا ۗوَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرًا ࣖ ٢٧
- wa-awrathakum
- وَأَوْرَثَكُمْ
- And He caused you to inherit
- arḍahum
- أَرْضَهُمْ
- their land
- wadiyārahum
- وَدِيَٰرَهُمْ
- and their houses
- wa-amwālahum
- وَأَمْوَٰلَهُمْ
- and their properties
- wa-arḍan
- وَأَرْضًا
- and a land
- lam
- لَّمْ
- not
- taṭaūhā
- تَطَـُٔوهَاۚ
- you (had) trodden
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- And Allah is
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah is
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- qadīran
- قَدِيرًا
- All-Powerful
And He caused you to inherit their land and their homes and their properties and a land which you have not trodden. And ever is Allah, over all things, competent. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 27)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِّاَزْوَاجِكَ اِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِيْنَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيْنَ اُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَاُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيْلًا ٢٨
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O Prophet!
- l-nabiyu
- ٱلنَّبِىُّ
- O Prophet!
- qul
- قُل
- Say
- li-azwājika
- لِّأَزْوَٰجِكَ
- to your wives
- in
- إِن
- "If
- kuntunna
- كُنتُنَّ
- you
- turid'na
- تُرِدْنَ
- desire
- l-ḥayata
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- wazīnatahā
- وَزِينَتَهَا
- and its adornment
- fataʿālayna
- فَتَعَالَيْنَ
- then come
- umattiʿ'kunna
- أُمَتِّعْكُنَّ
- I will provide for you
- wa-usarriḥ'kunna
- وَأُسَرِّحْكُنَّ
- and release you
- sarāḥan
- سَرَاحًا
- (with) a release
- jamīlan
- جَمِيلًا
- good
O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you should desire the worldly life and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and give you a gracious release. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 28)Tafsir
وَاِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَالدَّارَ الْاٰخِرَةَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَعَدَّ لِلْمُحْسِنٰتِ مِنْكُنَّ اَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا ٢٩
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- But if
- kuntunna
- كُنتُنَّ
- you
- turid'na
- تُرِدْنَ
- desire
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- warasūlahu
- وَرَسُولَهُۥ
- and His Messenger
- wal-dāra
- وَٱلدَّارَ
- and the Home
- l-ākhirata
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
- (of) the Hereafter
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- aʿadda
- أَعَدَّ
- has prepared
- lil'muḥ'sināti
- لِلْمُحْسِنَٰتِ
- for the good-doers
- minkunna
- مِنكُنَّ
- among you
- ajran
- أَجْرًا
- a reward
- ʿaẓīman
- عَظِيمًا
- great"
But if you should desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter – then indeed, Allah has prepared for the doers of good among you a great reward." (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 29)Tafsir
يٰنِسَاۤءَ النَّبِيِّ مَنْ يَّأْتِ مِنْكُنَّ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ يُّضٰعَفْ لَهَا الْعَذَابُ ضِعْفَيْنِۗ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيْرًا ۔ ٣٠
- yānisāa
- يَٰنِسَآءَ
- O wives
- l-nabiyi
- ٱلنَّبِىِّ
- (of) the Prophet!
- man
- مَن
- Whoever
- yati
- يَأْتِ
- commits
- minkunna
- مِنكُنَّ
- from you
- bifāḥishatin
- بِفَٰحِشَةٍ
- immorality
- mubayyinatin
- مُّبَيِّنَةٍ
- clear
- yuḍāʿaf
- يُضَٰعَفْ
- will be doubled
- lahā
- لَهَا
- for her
- l-ʿadhābu
- ٱلْعَذَابُ
- the punishment
- ḍiʿ'fayni
- ضِعْفَيْنِۚ
- two fold
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- And that is
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- And that is
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- for
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- yasīran
- يَسِيرًا
- easy
O wives of the Prophet, whoever of you should commit a clear immorality – for her the punishment would be doubled two fold, and ever is that, for Allah, easy. (QS. [33] Al-Ahzab: 30)Tafsir
