وَلَا يُنْفِقُوْنَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيْرَةً وَّلَا كَبِيْرَةً وَّلَا يَقْطَعُوْنَ وَادِيًا اِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ اَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٢١
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yunfiqūna
- يُنفِقُونَ
- they spend
- nafaqatan
- نَفَقَةً
- any spending
- ṣaghīratan
- صَغِيرَةً
- small
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- kabīratan
- كَبِيرَةً
- big
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yaqṭaʿūna
- يَقْطَعُونَ
- they cross
- wādiyan
- وَادِيًا
- a valley
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- kutiba
- كُتِبَ
- is recorded
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- liyajziyahumu
- لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ
- that Allah may reward them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- that Allah may reward them
- aḥsana
- أَحْسَنَ
- the best
- mā
- مَا
- (of) what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- do
Nor do they spend an expenditure, small or large, or cross a valley but that it is registered for them that Allah may reward them for the best of what they were doing. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 121)Tafsir
۞ وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ لِيَنْفِرُوْا كَاۤفَّةًۗ فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ طَاۤىِٕفَةٌ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُوْا فِى الدِّيْنِ وَلِيُنْذِرُوْا قَوْمَهُمْ اِذَا رَجَعُوْٓا اِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُوْنَ ࣖ ١٢٢
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- l-mu'minūna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
- (for) the believers
- liyanfirū
- لِيَنفِرُوا۟
- that they go forth
- kāffatan
- كَآفَّةًۚ
- all together
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَا
- So if not
- nafara
- نَفَرَ
- go forth
- min
- مِن
- from
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- fir'qatin
- فِرْقَةٍ
- group
- min'hum
- مِّنْهُمْ
- among them
- ṭāifatun
- طَآئِفَةٌ
- a party
- liyatafaqqahū
- لِّيَتَفَقَّهُوا۟
- that they may obtain understanding
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-dīni
- ٱلدِّينِ
- the religion
- waliyundhirū
- وَلِيُنذِرُوا۟
- and that they may warn
- qawmahum
- قَوْمَهُمْ
- their people
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- rajaʿū
- رَجَعُوٓا۟
- they return
- ilayhim
- إِلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yaḥdharūna
- يَحْذَرُونَ
- beware
And it is not for the believers to go forth [to battle] all at once. For there should separate from every division of them a group [remaining] to obtain understanding in the religion and warn [i.e., advise] their people when they return to them that they might be cautious. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 122)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِيْنَ يَلُوْنَكُمْ مِّنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوْا فِيْكُمْ غِلْظَةًۗ وَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ ١٢٣
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you who believe!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- O you who believe!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- O you who believe!
- qātilū
- قَٰتِلُوا۟
- Fight
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yalūnakum
- يَلُونَكُم
- (are) close to you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-kufāri
- ٱلْكُفَّارِ
- the disbelievers
- walyajidū
- وَلْيَجِدُوا۟
- and let them find
- fīkum
- فِيكُمْ
- in you
- ghil'ẓatan
- غِلْظَةًۚ
- harshness
- wa-iʿ'lamū
- وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
- And know
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- maʿa
- مَعَ
- (is) with
- l-mutaqīna
- ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
- those who fear (Him)
O you who have believed, fight against those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. And know that Allah is with the righteous. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 123)Tafsir
وَاِذَا مَآ اُنْزِلَتْ سُوْرَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّقُوْلُ اَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هٰذِهٖٓ اِيْمَانًاۚ فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا فَزَادَتْهُمْ اِيْمَانًا وَّهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُوْنَ ١٢٤
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And whenever
- mā
- مَآ
- And whenever
- unzilat
- أُنزِلَتْ
- is revealed
- sūratun
- سُورَةٌ
- a Surah
- famin'hum
- فَمِنْهُم
- among them
- man
- مَّن
- (are some) who
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- say
- ayyukum
- أَيُّكُمْ
- "Which of you
- zādathu
- زَادَتْهُ
- (has) increased [it]
- hādhihi
- هَٰذِهِۦٓ
- (by) this
- īmānan
- إِيمَٰنًاۚ
- (in) faith?"
- fa-ammā
- فَأَمَّا
- As for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- fazādathum
- فَزَادَتْهُمْ
- then it has increased them
- īmānan
- إِيمَٰنًا
- (in) faith
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- and they
- yastabshirūna
- يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
- rejoice
And whenever a Surah is revealed, there are among them [i.e., the hypocrites] those who say, "Which of you has this increased in faith?" As for those who believed, it has increased them in faith, while they are rejoicing. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 124)Tafsir
وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَتْهُمْ رِجْسًا اِلٰى رِجْسِهِمْ وَمَاتُوْا وَهُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ ١٢٥
- wa-ammā
- وَأَمَّا
- But as for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those
- fī
- فِى
- in
- qulūbihim
- قُلُوبِهِم
- their hearts
- maraḍun
- مَّرَضٌ
- (is) a disease
- fazādathum
- فَزَادَتْهُمْ
- (it) increases them
- rij'san
- رِجْسًا
- (in) evil
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rij'sihim
- رِجْسِهِمْ
- their evil
- wamātū
- وَمَاتُوا۟
- And they die
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- kāfirūna
- كَٰفِرُونَ
- (are) disbelievers
But as for those in whose hearts is disease, it has [only] increased them in evil [in addition] to their evil. And they will have died while they are disbelievers. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 125)Tafsir
اَوَلَا يَرَوْنَ اَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُوْنَ فِيْ كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً اَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوْبُوْنَ وَلَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ ١٢٦
- awalā
- أَوَلَا
- Do not
- yarawna
- يَرَوْنَ
- they see
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- yuf'tanūna
- يُفْتَنُونَ
- are tried
- fī
- فِى
- [in]
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- ʿāmin
- عَامٍ
- year
- marratan
- مَّرَّةً
- once
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- marratayni
- مَرَّتَيْنِ
- twice?
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Yet
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yatūbūna
- يَتُوبُونَ
- they turn (in repentance)
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yadhakkarūna
- يَذَّكَّرُونَ
- pay heed
Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice but then they do not repent nor do they remember? (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 126)Tafsir
وَاِذَا مَآ اُنْزِلَتْ سُوْرَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ اِلٰى بَعْضٍۗ هَلْ يَرٰىكُمْ مِّنْ اَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوْاۗ صَرَفَ اللّٰهُ قُلُوْبَهُمْ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُوْنَ ١٢٧
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And whenever
- mā
- مَآ
- And whenever
- unzilat
- أُنزِلَتْ
- is revealed
- sūratun
- سُورَةٌ
- a Surah
- naẓara
- نَّظَرَ
- look
- baʿḍuhum
- بَعْضُهُمْ
- some of them
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- baʿḍin
- بَعْضٍ
- others
- hal
- هَلْ
- "Does
- yarākum
- يَرَىٰكُم
- see you
- min
- مِّنْ
- any
- aḥadin
- أَحَدٍ
- one?"
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- inṣarafū
- ٱنصَرَفُوا۟ۚ
- they turn away
- ṣarafa
- صَرَفَ
- Allah has turned away
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has turned away
- qulūbahum
- قُلُوبَهُم
- their hearts
- bi-annahum
- بِأَنَّهُمْ
- because they
- qawmun
- قَوْمٌ
- (are) a people
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- yafqahūna
- يَفْقَهُونَ
- they understand
And whenever a Surah is revealed, they look at each other, [as if saying], "Does anyone see you?" and then they dismiss themselves. Allah has dismissed their hearts because they are a people who do not understand. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 127)Tafsir
لَقَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِيْزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيْصٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ رَءُوْفٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ١٢٨
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- Certainly
- jāakum
- جَآءَكُمْ
- (has) come to you
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- min
- مِّنْ
- from
- anfusikum
- أَنفُسِكُمْ
- yourselves
- ʿazīzun
- عَزِيزٌ
- Grievous
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- to him
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- ʿanittum
- عَنِتُّمْ
- you suffer
- ḥarīṣun
- حَرِيصٌ
- (he is) concerned
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُم
- over you
- bil-mu'minīna
- بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- to the believers
- raūfun
- رَءُوفٌ
- (he is) kind
- raḥīmun
- رَّحِيمٌ
- (and) merciful
There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you [i.e., your guidance] and to the believers is kind and merciful. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 128)Tafsir
فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۗ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ ࣖ ١٢٩
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- But if
- tawallaw
- تَوَلَّوْا۟
- they turn away
- faqul
- فَقُلْ
- then say
- ḥasbiya
- حَسْبِىَ
- "Sufficient for me
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (is) Allah
- lā
- لَآ
- (There is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- huwa
- هُوَۖ
- Him
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- On Him
- tawakkaltu
- تَوَكَّلْتُۖ
- I put my trust
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- rabbu
- رَبُّ
- (is the) Lord
- l-ʿarshi
- ٱلْعَرْشِ
- (of) the Throne
- l-ʿaẓīmi
- ٱلْعَظِيمِ
- the Great"
But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne." (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 129)Tafsir
