اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًاۙ ٢١

- مِرْصَادًا
- lying in wait
Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait (QS. [78] An-Naba: 21)Tafsir

لِّلطّٰغِيْنَ مَاٰبًاۙ ٢٢
- lilṭṭāghīna
- لِّلطَّٰغِينَ
- For the transgressors
- maāban
- مَـَٔابًا
- a place of return
For the transgressors, a place of return, (QS. [78] An-Naba: 22)Tafsir
23
لّٰبِثِيْنَ فِيْهَآ اَحْقَابًاۚ ٢٣
- lābithīna
- لَّٰبِثِينَ
- (They will) be remaining
- fīhā
- فِيهَآ
- therein
- aḥqāban
- أَحْقَابًا
- (for) ages
In which they will remain for ages [unending]. (QS. [78] An-Naba: 23)Tafsir
24
لَا يَذُوْقُوْنَ فِيْهَا بَرْدًا وَّلَا شَرَابًاۙ ٢٤
- lā
- لَّا
- Not
- yadhūqūna
- يَذُوقُونَ
- they will taste
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- bardan
- بَرْدًا
- coolness
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- sharāban
- شَرَابًا
- any drink
They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink. (QS. [78] An-Naba: 24)Tafsir

اِلَّا حَمِيْمًا وَّغَسَّاقًاۙ ٢٥
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- ḥamīman
- حَمِيمًا
- scalding water
- waghassāqan
- وَغَسَّاقًا
- and purulence
Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - (QS. [78] An-Naba: 25)Tafsir
26
جَزَاۤءً وِّفَاقًاۗ ٢٦
- jazāan
- جَزَآءً
- A recompense
- wifāqan
- وِفَاقًا
- appropriate
An appropriate recompense. (QS. [78] An-Naba: 26)Tafsir
27
اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ حِسَابًاۙ ٢٧
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yarjūna
- يَرْجُونَ
- expecting
- ḥisāban
- حِسَابًا
- an account
Indeed, they were not expecting an account (QS. [78] An-Naba: 27)Tafsir
28
وَّكَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كِذَّابًاۗ ٢٨
- wakadhabū
- وَكَذَّبُوا۟
- And denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- kidhāban
- كِذَّابًا
- (with) denial
And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. (QS. [78] An-Naba: 28)Tafsir
29
وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ اَحْصَيْنٰهُ كِتٰبًاۙ ٢٩
- wakulla
- وَكُلَّ
- And every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- aḥṣaynāhu
- أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ
- We have enumerated it
- kitāban
- كِتَٰبًا
- (in) a Book
But all things We have enumerated in writing. (QS. [78] An-Naba: 29)Tafsir
30
فَذُوْقُوْا فَلَنْ نَّزِيْدَكُمْ اِلَّا عَذَابًا ࣖ ٣٠
- fadhūqū
- فَذُوقُوا۟
- So taste
- falan
- فَلَن
- and never
- nazīdakum
- نَّزِيدَكُمْ
- We will increase you
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- (in) punishment
"So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment." (QS. [78] An-Naba: 30)Tafsir
