لَهُمْ مِّنْ جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَّمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍۗ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٤١
- lahum
- لَهُم
- For them
- min
- مِّن
- of
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- (the) Hell
- mihādun
- مِهَادٌ
- (is) a bed
- wamin
- وَمِن
- and from
- fawqihim
- فَوْقِهِمْ
- over them
- ghawāshin
- غَوَاشٍۚ
- coverings
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- najzī
- نَجْزِى
- We recompense
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
They will have from Hell a bed and over them coverings [of fire]. And thus do We recompense the wrongdoers. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 41)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَآ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِۚ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ ٤٢
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- But those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and do
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- [the] righteous deeds
- lā
- لَا
- not
- nukallifu
- نُكَلِّفُ
- We burden
- nafsan
- نَفْسًا
- any soul
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- wus'ʿahā
- وُسْعَهَآ
- (to) its capacity
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (are the) companions
- l-janati
- ٱلْجَنَّةِۖ
- (of) Paradise
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- khālidūna
- خَٰلِدُونَ
- (will) abide forever
But those who believed and did righteous deeds – We charge no soul except [within] its capacity. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 42)Tafsir
وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِيْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ مِّنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْانْهٰرُۚ وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ هَدٰىنَا لِهٰذَاۗ وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَآ اَنْ هَدٰىنَا اللّٰهُ ۚ لَقَدْ جَاۤءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّۗ وَنُوْدُوْٓا اَنْ تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ اُوْرِثْتُمُوْهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٤٣
- wanazaʿnā
- وَنَزَعْنَا
- And We will remove
- mā
- مَا
- whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- ṣudūrihim
- صُدُورِهِم
- their breasts
- min
- مِّنْ
- of
- ghillin
- غِلٍّ
- malice
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- Flows
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihimu
- تَحْتِهِمُ
- underneath them
- l-anhāru
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُۖ
- the rivers
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they will say
- l-ḥamdu
- ٱلْحَمْدُ
- "All the praise
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- (is) for Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- hadānā
- هَدَىٰنَا
- guided us
- lihādhā
- لِهَٰذَا
- to this
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we were
- linahtadiya
- لِنَهْتَدِىَ
- to receive guidance
- lawlā
- لَوْلَآ
- if not
- an
- أَنْ
- [that]
- hadānā
- هَدَىٰنَا
- (had) guided us
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۖ
- Allah
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- Certainly
- jāat
- جَآءَتْ
- came
- rusulu
- رُسُلُ
- Messengers
- rabbinā
- رَبِّنَا
- (of) our Lord
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۖ
- with the truth"
- wanūdū
- وَنُودُوٓا۟
- And they will be addressed
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- til'kumu
- تِلْكُمُ
- "This
- l-janatu
- ٱلْجَنَّةُ
- (is) Paradise
- ūrith'tumūhā
- أُورِثْتُمُوهَا
- you have been made to inherit it
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do"
And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [while] flowing beneath them are rivers. And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth." And they will be called, "This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 43)Tafsir
وَنَادٰٓى اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ اَصْحٰبَ النَّارِ اَنْ قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقًّا فَهَلْ وَجَدْتُّمْ مَّا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ۗقَالُوْا نَعَمْۚ فَاَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ اَنْ لَّعْنَةُ اللّٰهِ عَلَى الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٤٤
- wanādā
- وَنَادَىٰٓ
- And will call out
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (the) companions
- l-janati
- ٱلْجَنَّةِ
- (of) Paradise
- aṣḥāba
- أَصْحَٰبَ
- (to the) companions
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- (of) the Fire
- an
- أَن
- that
- qad
- قَدْ
- "Indeed
- wajadnā
- وَجَدْنَا
- we found
- mā
- مَا
- what
- waʿadanā
- وَعَدَنَا
- (had) promised us
- rabbunā
- رَبُّنَا
- our Lord
- ḥaqqan
- حَقًّا
- true
- fahal
- فَهَلْ
- So have
- wajadttum
- وَجَدتُّم
- you found
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- waʿada
- وَعَدَ
- (was) promised
- rabbukum
- رَبُّكُمْ
- (by) your Lord
- ḥaqqan
- حَقًّاۖ
- (to be) true?"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They will say
- naʿam
- نَعَمْۚ
- "Yes"
- fa-adhana
- فَأَذَّنَ
- Then will announce
- mu-adhinun
- مُؤَذِّنٌۢ
- an announcer
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُمْ
- among them
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- laʿnatu
- لَّعْنَةُ
- "(The) curse
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- (is) on
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
And the companions of Paradise will call out to the companions of the Fire, "We have already found what our Lord promised us to be true. Have you found what your Lord promised to be true?" They will say, "Yes." Then an announcer will announce among them, "The curse of Allah shall be upon the wrongdoers (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 44)Tafsir
اَلَّذِيْنَ يَصُدُّوْنَ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَيَبْغُوْنَهَا عِوَجًاۚ وَهُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ كٰفِرُوْنَۘ ٤٥
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- yaṣuddūna
- يَصُدُّونَ
- hinder
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- sabīli
- سَبِيلِ
- (the) way
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wayabghūnahā
- وَيَبْغُونَهَا
- and seek in it
- ʿiwajan
- عِوَجًا
- crookedness
- wahum
- وَهُم
- while they (are)
- bil-ākhirati
- بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- concerning the Hereafter
- kāfirūna
- كَٰفِرُونَ
- disbelievers"
Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they were, concerning the Hereafter, disbelievers." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 45)Tafsir
وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌۚ وَعَلَى الْاَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَّعْرِفُوْنَ كُلًّا ۢ بِسِيْمٰىهُمْۚ وَنَادَوْا اَصْحٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ اَنْ سَلٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْۗ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوْهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُوْنَ ٤٦
- wabaynahumā
- وَبَيْنَهُمَا
- And between them
- ḥijābun
- حِجَابٌۚ
- (will be) a partition
- waʿalā
- وَعَلَى
- and on
- l-aʿrāfi
- ٱلْأَعْرَافِ
- the heights
- rijālun
- رِجَالٌ
- (will be) men
- yaʿrifūna
- يَعْرِفُونَ
- recognizing
- kullan
- كُلًّۢا
- all
- bisīmāhum
- بِسِيمَىٰهُمْۚ
- by their marks
- wanādaw
- وَنَادَوْا۟
- And they will call out
- aṣḥāba
- أَصْحَٰبَ
- (to the) companions
- l-janati
- ٱلْجَنَّةِ
- (of) Paradise
- an
- أَن
- that
- salāmun
- سَلَٰمٌ
- "Peace
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْۚ
- (be) upon you"
- lam
- لَمْ
- Not
- yadkhulūhā
- يَدْخُلُوهَا
- they have entered it
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- but they
- yaṭmaʿūna
- يَطْمَعُونَ
- hope
And between them will be a partition [i.e., wall], and on [its] elevations are men who recognize all by their mark. And they call out to the companions of Paradise, "Peace be upon you." They have not [yet] entered it, but they long intensely. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 46)Tafsir
۞ وَاِذَا صُرِفَتْ اَبْصَارُهُمْ تِلْقَاۤءَ اَصْحٰبِ النَّارِۙ قَالُوْا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ࣖ ٤٧
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- ṣurifat
- صُرِفَتْ
- are turned
- abṣāruhum
- أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ
- their eyes
- til'qāa
- تِلْقَآءَ
- towards
- aṣḥābi
- أَصْحَٰبِ
- (the) companions
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- (of) the Fire
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they (will) say
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- "Our Lord!
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- tajʿalnā
- تَجْعَلْنَا
- place us
- maʿa
- مَعَ
- with
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- the people -
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers"
And when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the Fire, they say, "Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 47)Tafsir
وَنَادٰٓى اَصْحٰبُ الْاَعْرَافِ رِجَالًا يَّعْرِفُوْنَهُمْ بِسِيْمٰىهُمْ قَالُوْا مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ٤٨
- wanādā
- وَنَادَىٰٓ
- And (will) call out
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (the) companions
- l-aʿrāfi
- ٱلْأَعْرَافِ
- (of) the heights
- rijālan
- رِجَالًا
- (to) men
- yaʿrifūnahum
- يَعْرِفُونَهُم
- whom they recognize
- bisīmāhum
- بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ
- by their marks
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- saying
- mā
- مَآ
- "Not
- aghnā
- أَغْنَىٰ
- (has) availed
- ʿankum
- عَنكُمْ
- [to] you
- jamʿukum
- جَمْعُكُمْ
- your gathering
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you were
- tastakbirūna
- تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
- arrogant (about)"
And the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 48)Tafsir
اَهٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ الَّذِيْنَ اَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِرَحْمَةٍۗ اُدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ اَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُوْنَ ٤٩
- ahāulāi
- أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- Are these
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- the ones whom
- aqsamtum
- أَقْسَمْتُمْ
- you had sworn
- lā
- لَا
- (that) not
- yanāluhumu
- يَنَالُهُمُ
- (will) grant them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- biraḥmatin
- بِرَحْمَةٍۚ
- Mercy?
- ud'khulū
- ٱدْخُلُوا۟
- "Enter
- l-janata
- ٱلْجَنَّةَ
- Paradise
- lā
- لَا
- (There will be) no
- khawfun
- خَوْفٌ
- fear
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- upon you
- walā
- وَلَآ
- and not
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you
- taḥzanūna
- تَحْزَنُونَ
- will grieve"
[Allah will say], "Are these the ones whom you [inhabitants of Hell] swore that Allah would never offer them mercy? Enter Paradise, [O people of the Elevations]. No fear will there be concerning you, nor will you grieve." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 49)Tafsir
وَنَادٰٓى اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ اَصْحٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ اَنْ اَفِيْضُوْا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاۤءِ اَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ ۗقَالُوْٓا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكٰفِرِيْنَۙ ٥٠
- wanādā
- وَنَادَىٰٓ
- And (will) call out
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (the) companions
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- (of) the Fire
- aṣḥāba
- أَصْحَٰبَ
- (to the) companions
- l-janati
- ٱلْجَنَّةِ
- (of) Paradise
- an
- أَنْ
- [that]
- afīḍū
- أَفِيضُوا۟
- "Pour
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- upon us
- mina
- مِنَ
- [of]
- l-māi
- ٱلْمَآءِ
- (some) water
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- mimmā
- مِمَّا
- of what
- razaqakumu
- رَزَقَكُمُ
- (has been) provided (to) you"
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۚ
- (by) Allah"
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- They (will) say
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ḥarramahumā
- حَرَّمَهُمَا
- has forbidden both
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- to
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers
And the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of Paradise, "Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allah has provided you." They will say, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 50)Tafsir
