اَفَبِهٰذَا الْحَدِيْثِ اَنْتُمْ مُّدْهِنُوْنَ ٨١
- afabihādhā
- أَفَبِهَٰذَا
- Then is it to this
- l-ḥadīthi
- ٱلْحَدِيثِ
- statement
- antum
- أَنتُم
- that you
- mud'hinūna
- مُّدْهِنُونَ
- (are) indifferent?
Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 81)Tafsir
82
وَتَجْعَلُوْنَ رِزْقَكُمْ اَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ ٨٢
- watajʿalūna
- وَتَجْعَلُونَ
- And you make
- riz'qakum
- رِزْقَكُمْ
- your provision
- annakum
- أَنَّكُمْ
- that you
- tukadhibūna
- تُكَذِّبُونَ
- deny
And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 82)Tafsir
83
فَلَوْلَآ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُوْمَۙ ٨٣
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَآ
- Then why not
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- balaghati
- بَلَغَتِ
- it reaches
- l-ḥul'qūma
- ٱلْحُلْقُومَ
- the throat
Then why, when it [i.e., the soul at death] reaches the throat (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 83)Tafsir
84
وَاَنْتُمْ حِيْنَىِٕذٍ تَنْظُرُوْنَۙ ٨٤
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- And you
- ḥīna-idhin
- حِينَئِذٍ
- (at) that time
- tanẓurūna
- تَنظُرُونَ
- look on
And you are at that time looking on – (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 84)Tafsir
85
وَنَحْنُ اَقْرَبُ اِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ لَّا تُبْصِرُوْنَ ٨٥
- wanaḥnu
- وَنَحْنُ
- And We
- aqrabu
- أَقْرَبُ
- (are) nearer
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to him
- minkum
- مِنكُمْ
- than you
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- but
- lā
- لَّا
- you (do) not see
- tub'ṣirūna
- تُبْصِرُونَ
- you (do) not see
And We [i.e., Our angels] are nearer to him than you, but you do not see – (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 85)Tafsir
86
فَلَوْلَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِيْنِيْنَۙ ٨٦
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَآ
- Then why not
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ghayra
- غَيْرَ
- not
- madīnīna
- مَدِينِينَ
- to be recompensed
Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 86)Tafsir
87
تَرْجِعُوْنَهَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٨٧
- tarjiʿūnahā
- تَرْجِعُونَهَآ
- Bring it back
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ṣādiqīna
- صَٰدِقِينَ
- truthful
Bring it back, if you should be truthful? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 87)Tafsir
88
فَاَمَّآ اِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَۙ ٨٨
- fa-ammā
- فَأَمَّآ
- Then
- in
- إِن
- if
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he was
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-muqarabīna
- ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
- those brought near
And if he [i.e., the deceased] was of those brought near [to Allah], (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 88)Tafsir
89
فَرَوْحٌ وَّرَيْحَانٌ ەۙ وَّجَنَّتُ نَعِيْمٍ ٨٩
- farawḥun
- فَرَوْحٌ
- Then rest
- warayḥānun
- وَرَيْحَانٌ
- and bounty
- wajannatu
- وَجَنَّتُ
- and a Garden
- naʿīmin
- نَعِيمٍ
- (of) Pleasure
Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 89)Tafsir
90
وَاَمَّآ اِنْ كَانَ مِنْ اَصْحٰبِ الْيَمِيْنِۙ ٩٠
- wa-ammā
- وَأَمَّآ
- And
- in
- إِن
- if
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he was
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- aṣḥābi
- أَصْحَٰبِ
- (the) companions
- l-yamīni
- ٱلْيَمِينِ
- (of) the right
And if he was of the companions of the right, (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 90)Tafsir
