فَمَنْ حَاۤجَّكَ فِيْهِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَاۤءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ اَبْنَاۤءَنَا وَاَبْنَاۤءَكُمْ وَنِسَاۤءَنَا وَنِسَاۤءَكُمْ وَاَنْفُسَنَا وَاَنْفُسَكُمْۗ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَّعْنَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَى الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ٦١
- faman
- فَمَنْ
- Then whoever
- ḥājjaka
- حَآجَّكَ
- argues (with) you
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- concerning it
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- mā
- مَا
- what
- jāaka
- جَآءَكَ
- came to you
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ʿil'mi
- ٱلْعِلْمِ
- the knowledge
- faqul
- فَقُلْ
- then say
- taʿālaw
- تَعَالَوْا۟
- "Come
- nadʿu
- نَدْعُ
- let us call
- abnāanā
- أَبْنَآءَنَا
- our sons
- wa-abnāakum
- وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ
- and your sons
- wanisāanā
- وَنِسَآءَنَا
- and our women
- wanisāakum
- وَنِسَآءَكُمْ
- and your women
- wa-anfusanā
- وَأَنفُسَنَا
- and ourselves
- wa-anfusakum
- وَأَنفُسَكُمْ
- and yourselves
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- nabtahil
- نَبْتَهِلْ
- let us pray humbly
- fanajʿal
- فَنَجْعَل
- and [we] invoke
- laʿnata
- لَّعْنَتَ
- (the) curse
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-kādhibīna
- ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
- the liars
Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you – say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 61)Tafsir
اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ الْقَصَصُ الْحَقُّ ۚ وَمَا مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ ۗوَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ٦٢
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- lahuwa
- لَهُوَ
- surely it (is)
- l-qaṣaṣu
- ٱلْقَصَصُ
- the narration
- l-ḥaqu
- ٱلْحَقُّۚ
- [the] true
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And (there is) no
- min
- مِنْ
- (of)
- ilāhin
- إِلَٰهٍ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۚ
- Allah
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lahuwa
- لَهُوَ
- surely He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
Indeed, this is the true narration. And there is no deity except Allah. And indeed, Allah is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 62)Tafsir
فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِالْمُفْسِدِيْنَ ࣖ ٦٣
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- And if
- tawallaw
- تَوَلَّوْا۟
- they turn back
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌۢ
- (is) All-Knowing
- bil-muf'sidīna
- بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
- of the corrupters
But if they turn away, then indeed – Allah is Knowing of the corrupters. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 63)Tafsir
قُلْ يٰٓاَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ تَعَالَوْا اِلٰى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاۤءٍۢ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ اَلَّا نَعْبُدَ اِلَّا اللّٰهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهٖ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا اَرْبَابًا مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗ فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُوْلُوا اشْهَدُوْا بِاَنَّا مُسْلِمُوْنَ ٦٤

- Say

- يَٰٓأَهْلَ
- "O People
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (of) the Book!
- taʿālaw
- تَعَالَوْا۟
- Come
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- kalimatin
- كَلِمَةٍ
- a word
- sawāin
- سَوَآءٍۭ
- equitable
- baynanā
- بَيْنَنَا
- between us
- wabaynakum
- وَبَيْنَكُمْ
- and between you
- allā
- أَلَّا
- that not
- naʿbuda
- نَعْبُدَ
- we worship
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- nush'rika
- نُشْرِكَ
- we associate partners
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with Him
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yattakhidha
- يَتَّخِذَ
- take
- baʿḍunā
- بَعْضُنَا
- some of us
- baʿḍan
- بَعْضًا
- (to) others
- arbāban
- أَرْبَابًا
- (as) lords
- min
- مِّن
- from"
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides"
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah"
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- Then if
- tawallaw
- تَوَلَّوْا۟
- they turn away
- faqūlū
- فَقُولُوا۟
- then say
- ish'hadū
- ٱشْهَدُوا۟
- "Bear witness
- bi-annā
- بِأَنَّا
- that we
- mus'limūna
- مُسْلِمُونَ
- (are) Muslims"
Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you – that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 64)Tafsir
يٰٓاَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ لِمَ تُحَاۤجُّوْنَ فِيْٓ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَمَآ اُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرٰىةُ وَالْاِنْجِيْلُ اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖۗ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ٦٥
- yāahla
- يَٰٓأَهْلَ
- O People
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (of) the Book!
- lima
- لِمَ
- Why
- tuḥājjūna
- تُحَآجُّونَ
- (do) you argue
- fī
- فِىٓ
- concerning
- ib'rāhīma
- إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
- Ibrahim
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- while not
- unzilati
- أُنزِلَتِ
- was revealed
- l-tawrātu
- ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ
- the Taurat
- wal-injīlu
- وَٱلْإِنجِيلُ
- and the Injeel
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- min
- مِنۢ
- from?
- baʿdihi
- بَعْدِهِۦٓۚ
- after him?
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then why don't
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- you use your intellect?
O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Then will you not reason? (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 65)Tafsir
هٰٓاَنْتُمْ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ حَاجَجْتُمْ فِيْمَا لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ فَلِمَ تُحَاۤجُّوْنَ فِيْمَا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ واَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٦٦
- hāantum
- هَٰٓأَنتُمْ
- Here you are -
- hāulāi
- هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- those who
- ḥājajtum
- حَٰجَجْتُمْ
- argued
- fīmā
- فِيمَا
- about what
- lakum
- لَكُم
- [for] you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- of it
- ʿil'mun
- عِلْمٌ
- (have some) knowledge
- falima
- فَلِمَ
- Then why
- tuḥājjūna
- تُحَآجُّونَ
- (do) you argue
- fīmā
- فِيمَا
- about what
- laysa
- لَيْسَ
- not
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- of it
- ʿil'mun
- عِلْمٌۚ
- (any) knowledge
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knows
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- know
Here you are – those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 66)Tafsir
مَاكَانَ اِبْرٰهِيْمُ يَهُوْدِيًّا وَّلَا نَصْرَانِيًّا وَّلٰكِنْ كَانَ حَنِيْفًا مُّسْلِمًاۗ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ ٦٧

- Ibrahim
- yahūdiyyan
- يَهُودِيًّا
- a Jew
- walā
- وَلَا

- a Christian

- وَلَٰكِن
- and but
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he was
- ḥanīfan
- حَنِيفًا
- a true
- mus'liman
- مُّسْلِمًا
- Muslim
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he was
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-mush'rikīna
- ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
- the polytheists
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 67)Tafsir
اِنَّ اَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِاِبْرٰهِيْمَ لَلَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوْهُ وَهٰذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ۗ وَاللّٰهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٦٨
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- awlā
- أَوْلَى
- the best to claim relationship
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- (of) people
- bi-ib'rāhīma
- بِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
- with Ibrahim
- lalladhīna
- لَلَّذِينَ
- (are) those who
- ittabaʿūhu
- ٱتَّبَعُوهُ
- follow him
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- and this
- l-nabiyu
- ٱلنَّبِىُّ
- [the] Prophet
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟ۗ
- believe[d]
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- waliyyu
- وَلِىُّ
- (is) a Guardian
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- (of) the believers
Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet [i.e., Muhammad (^)] and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the Ally of the believers. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 68)Tafsir
وَدَّتْ طَّاۤىِٕفَةٌ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ لَوْ يُضِلُّوْنَكُمْۗ وَمَا يُضِلُّوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ٦٩

- Wished
- ṭāifatun
- طَّآئِفَةٌ
- a group

- مِّنْ
- from
- ahli
- أَهْلِ
- (the) People
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (of) the Book
- law
- لَوْ
- if
- yuḍillūnakum
- يُضِلُّونَكُمْ
- they could lead you astray
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- yuḍillūna
- يُضِلُّونَ
- they lead astray
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- anfusahum
- أَنفُسَهُمْ
- themselves
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- yashʿurūna
- يَشْعُرُونَ
- they perceive
A faction of the People of the Scripture wish they could mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive [it] not. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 69)Tafsir
يٰٓاَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُوْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَاَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُوْنَ ٧٠
- yāahla
- يَٰٓأَهْلَ
- O People
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (of) the Book!
- lima
- لِمَ
- Why do
- takfurūna
- تَكْفُرُونَ
- you deny
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- [in] the Signs
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you
- tashhadūna
- تَشْهَدُونَ
- bear witness?
O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while you witness [to their truth]? (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 70)Tafsir
