وَمَآ اَنْتَ بِهٰدِى الْعُمْيِ عَنْ ضَلٰلَتِهِمْۗ اِنْ تُسْمِعُ اِلَّا مَنْ يُّؤْمِنُ بِاٰيٰتِنَا فَهُمْ مُّسْلِمُوْنَ ٨١
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- anta
- أَنتَ
- (can) you
- bihādī
- بِهَٰدِى
- guide
- l-ʿum'yi
- ٱلْعُمْىِ
- the blind
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- ḍalālatihim
- ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْۖ
- their error
- in
- إِن
- Not
- tus'miʿu
- تُسْمِعُ
- you can cause to hear
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- man
- مَن
- (those) who
- yu'minu
- يُؤْمِنُ
- believe
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- in Our Signs
- fahum
- فَهُم
- so they
- mus'limūna
- مُّسْلِمُونَ
- (are) Muslims
And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [i.e., submitting to Allah]. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 81)Tafsir
۞ وَاِذَا وَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ اَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَاۤبَّةً مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمْ اَنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا لَا يُوْقِنُوْنَ ࣖ ٨٢
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- waqaʿa
- وَقَعَ
- (is) fulfilled
- l-qawlu
- ٱلْقَوْلُ
- the word
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- against them
- akhrajnā
- أَخْرَجْنَا
- We will bring forth
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- dābbatan
- دَآبَّةً
- a creature
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- tukallimuhum
- تُكَلِّمُهُمْ
- speaking to them
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- the people
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- of Our Signs
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yūqinūna
- يُوقِنُونَ
- certain
And when the word [i.e., decree] befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 82)Tafsir
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِنْ كُلِّ اُمَّةٍ فَوْجًا مِّمَّنْ يُّكَذِّبُ بِاٰيٰتِنَا فَهُمْ يُوْزَعُوْنَ ٨٣
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- And (the) Day
- naḥshuru
- نَحْشُرُ
- We will gather
- min
- مِن
- from
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- fawjan
- فَوْجًا
- a troop
- mimman
- مِّمَّن
- of (those) who
- yukadhibu
- يُكَذِّبُ
- deny
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- fahum
- فَهُمْ
- and they
- yūzaʿūna
- يُوزَعُونَ
- will be set in rows
And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows (QS. [27] An-Naml: 83)Tafsir
حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَاۤءُوْ قَالَ اَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِاٰيٰتِيْ وَلَمْ تُحِيْطُوْا بِهَا عِلْمًا اَمَّاذَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٨٤
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- Until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- jāū
- جَآءُو
- they come
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He will say
- akadhabtum
- أَكَذَّبْتُم
- "Did you deny
- biāyātī
- بِـَٔايَٰتِى
- My Signs
- walam
- وَلَمْ
- while not
- tuḥīṭū
- تُحِيطُوا۟
- you encompassed
- bihā
- بِهَا
- them
- ʿil'man
- عِلْمًا
- (in) knowledge
- ammādhā
- أَمَّاذَا
- or what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used (to)
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do?"
Until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My signs while you encompassed them not in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing?" (QS. [27] An-Naml: 84)Tafsir
وَوَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمَا ظَلَمُوْا فَهُمْ لَا يَنْطِقُوْنَ ٨٥
- wawaqaʿa
- وَوَقَعَ
- And (will be) fulfilled
- l-qawlu
- ٱلْقَوْلُ
- the word
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- against them
- bimā
- بِمَا
- because
- ẓalamū
- ظَلَمُوا۟
- they wronged
- fahum
- فَهُمْ
- and they
- lā
- لَا
- (will) not
- yanṭiqūna
- يَنطِقُونَ
- speak
And the decree will befall them for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 85)Tafsir
اَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا جَعَلْنَا الَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوْا فِيْهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًاۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ٨٦
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Do not
- yaraw
- يَرَوْا۟
- they see
- annā
- أَنَّا
- that We
- jaʿalnā
- جَعَلْنَا
- [We] have made
- al-layla
- ٱلَّيْلَ
- the night
- liyaskunū
- لِيَسْكُنُوا۟
- that they may rest
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- in it
- wal-nahāra
- وَٱلنَّهَارَ
- and the day
- mub'ṣiran
- مُبْصِرًاۚ
- giving visibility?
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyātin
- لَءَايَٰتٍ
- surely (are) Signs
- liqawmin
- لِّقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- who believe
Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest therein and the day giving sight? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 86)Tafsir
وَيَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِى الصُّوْرِ فَفَزِعَ مَنْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَنْ فِى الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا مَنْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ ۗوَكُلٌّ اَتَوْهُ دَاخِرِيْنَ ٨٧
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- And (the) Day
- yunfakhu
- يُنفَخُ
- will be blown
- fī
- فِى
- [in]
- l-ṣūri
- ٱلصُّورِ
- the trumpet
- fafaziʿa
- فَفَزِعَ
- and will be terrified
- man
- مَن
- whoever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- man
- مَن
- whom
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- Allah wills
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۚ
- Allah wills
- wakullun
- وَكُلٌّ
- And all
- atawhu
- أَتَوْهُ
- (will) come to Him
- dākhirīna
- دَٰخِرِينَ
- humbled
And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 87)Tafsir
وَتَرَى الْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةً وَّهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِۗ صُنْعَ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْٓ اَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍۗ اِنَّهٗ خَبِيْرٌ ۢبِمَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ ٨٨
- watarā
- وَتَرَى
- And you see
- l-jibāla
- ٱلْجِبَالَ
- the mountains
- taḥsabuhā
- تَحْسَبُهَا
- thinking them
- jāmidatan
- جَامِدَةً
- firmly fixed
- wahiya
- وَهِىَ
- while they
- tamurru
- تَمُرُّ
- will pass
- marra
- مَرَّ
- (as the) passing
- l-saḥābi
- ٱلسَّحَابِۚ
- (of) the clouds
- ṣun'ʿa
- صُنْعَ
- (The) Work
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- Who
- atqana
- أَتْقَنَ
- perfected
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- all
- shayin
- شَىْءٍۚ
- things
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- khabīrun
- خَبِيرٌۢ
- (is) All-Aware
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- tafʿalūna
- تَفْعَلُونَ
- you do
And you see the mountains, thinking them motionless, while they will pass as the passing of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Aware of that which you do. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 88)Tafsir
مَنْ جَاۤءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهٗ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهَاۚ وَهُمْ مِّنْ فَزَعٍ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ اٰمِنُوْنَ ٨٩
- man
- مَن
- Whoever
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- comes
- bil-ḥasanati
- بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ
- with the good
- falahu
- فَلَهُۥ
- then for him
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (will be) better
- min'hā
- مِّنْهَا
- than it
- wahum
- وَهُم
- and they
- min
- مِّن
- from
- fazaʿin
- فَزَعٍ
- (the) terror
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- (of) that Day
- āminūna
- ءَامِنُونَ
- (will be) safe
Whoever comes [at Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 89)Tafsir
وَمَنْ جَاۤءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوْهُهُمْ فِى النَّارِۗ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٩٠
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- comes
- bil-sayi-ati
- بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
- with the evil
- fakubbat
- فَكُبَّتْ
- will be cast down
- wujūhuhum
- وُجُوهُهُمْ
- their faces
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire
- hal
- هَلْ
- "Are
- tuj'zawna
- تُجْزَوْنَ
- you recompensed
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mā
- مَا
- (for) what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used (to)
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do?"
And whoever comes with an evil deed – their faces will be overturned into the Fire, [and it will be said], "Are you recompensed except for what you used to do?" (QS. [27] An-Naml: 90)Tafsir
