وَبَرَزُوْا لِلّٰهِ جَمِيْعًا فَقَالَ الضُّعَفٰۤؤُا لِلَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْٓا اِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ مُّغْنُوْنَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ اللّٰهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۗقَالُوْا لَوْ هَدٰىنَا اللّٰهُ لَهَدَيْنٰكُمْۗ سَوَاۤءٌ عَلَيْنَآ اَجَزِعْنَآ اَمْ صَبَرْنَا مَا لَنَا مِنْ مَّحِيْصٍ ࣖ ٢١
- wabarazū
- وَبَرَزُوا۟
- And they will come forth
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- before Allah
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًا
- all together
- faqāla
- فَقَالَ
- then will say
- l-ḍuʿafāu
- ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟
- the weak
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- is'takbarū
- ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟
- were arrogant
- innā
- إِنَّا
- "Indeed, we
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we were
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- your
- tabaʿan
- تَبَعًا
- followers
- fahal
- فَهَلْ
- so can
- antum
- أَنتُم
- you (be)
- mugh'nūna
- مُّغْنُونَ
- the one who avails
- ʿannā
- عَنَّا
- us
- min
- مِنْ
- from
- ʿadhābi
- عَذَابِ
- (the) punishment
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- min
- مِن
- anything?"
- shayin
- شَىْءٍۚ
- anything?"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They will say
- law
- لَوْ
- "If
- hadānā
- هَدَىٰنَا
- Allah had guided us
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah had guided us
- lahadaynākum
- لَهَدَيْنَٰكُمْۖ
- surely we would have guided you
- sawāon
- سَوَآءٌ
- (It is) same
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَآ
- for us
- ajaziʿ'nā
- أَجَزِعْنَآ
- whether we show intolerance
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- ṣabarnā
- صَبَرْنَا
- we are patient
- mā
- مَا
- not
- lanā
- لَنَا
- (is) for us
- min
- مِن
- any
- maḥīṣin
- مَّحِيصٍ
- place of escape"
And they will come out [for judgement] before Allah all together, and the weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Indeed, we were your followers, so can you avail us anything against the punishment of Allah?" They will say, "If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It is all the same for us whether we show intolerance or are patient: there is for us no place of escape." (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 21)Tafsir
وَقَالَ الشَّيْطٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ الْحَقِّ وَوَعَدْتُّكُمْ فَاَخْلَفْتُكُمْۗ وَمَا كَانَ لِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنْ سُلْطٰنٍ اِلَّآ اَنْ دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَاسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِيْ ۚفَلَا تَلُوْمُوْنِيْ وَلُوْمُوْٓا اَنْفُسَكُمْۗ مَآ اَنَا۠ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَآ اَنْتُمْ بِمُصْرِخِيَّۗ اِنِّيْ كَفَرْتُ بِمَآ اَشْرَكْتُمُوْنِ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗاِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ٢٢
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And will say
- l-shayṭānu
- ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
- the Shaitaan
- lammā
- لَمَّا
- when
- quḍiya
- قُضِىَ
- has been decided
- l-amru
- ٱلْأَمْرُ
- the matter
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- waʿadakum
- وَعَدَكُمْ
- promised you
- waʿda
- وَعْدَ
- a promise
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- (of) truth
- wawaʿadttukum
- وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ
- And I promised you
- fa-akhlaftukum
- فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْۖ
- but I betrayed you
- wamā
- وَمَا
- But not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- I had
- liya
- لِىَ
- I had
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُم
- over you
- min
- مِّن
- any
- sul'ṭānin
- سُلْطَٰنٍ
- authority
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- daʿawtukum
- دَعَوْتُكُمْ
- I invited you
- fa-is'tajabtum
- فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ
- and you responded
- lī
- لِىۖ
- to me
- falā
- فَلَا
- So (do) not
- talūmūnī
- تَلُومُونِى
- blame me
- walūmū
- وَلُومُوٓا۟
- but blame
- anfusakum
- أَنفُسَكُمۖ
- yourselves
- mā
- مَّآ
- Not
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- (can) I
- bimuṣ'rikhikum
- بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ
- (be) your helper
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- and not
- antum
- أَنتُم
- you (can)
- bimuṣ'rikhiyya
- بِمُصْرِخِىَّۖ
- (be) my helper
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed, I
- kafartu
- كَفَرْتُ
- deny
- bimā
- بِمَآ
- [of what]
- ashraktumūni
- أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ
- your association of me (with Allah)
- min
- مِن
- before
- qablu
- قَبْلُۗ
- before
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- alīmun
- أَلِيمٌ
- painful"
And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allah] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment." (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 22)Tafsir
وَاُدْخِلَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْۗ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيْهَا سَلٰمٌ ٢٣
- wa-ud'khila
- وَأُدْخِلَ
- And will be admitted
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and did
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- righteous deeds
- jannātin
- جَنَّٰتٍ
- (to) Gardens
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- flows
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihā
- تَحْتِهَا
- underneath it
- l-anhāru
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
- the rivers
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- (will) abide forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by the permission
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْۖ
- (of) their Lord;
- taḥiyyatuhum
- تَحِيَّتُهُمْ
- their greetings
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- salāmun
- سَلَٰمٌ
- (will be) peace
And those who believed and did righteous deeds will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein by permission of their Lord; and their greeting therein will be, "Peace!" (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 23)Tafsir
اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ اَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَّفَرْعُهَا فِى السَّمَاۤءِۙ ٢٤
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Do not
- tara
- تَرَ
- you see
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- ḍaraba
- ضَرَبَ
- Allah sets forth
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah sets forth
- mathalan
- مَثَلًا
- the example
- kalimatan
- كَلِمَةً
- a word
- ṭayyibatan
- طَيِّبَةً
- good
- kashajaratin
- كَشَجَرَةٍ
- (is) like a tree
- ṭayyibatin
- طَيِّبَةٍ
- good
- aṣluhā
- أَصْلُهَا
- its root
- thābitun
- ثَابِتٌ
- (is) firm
- wafarʿuhā
- وَفَرْعُهَا
- and its branches
- fī
- فِى
- (are) in
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky?
Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky? (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 24)Tafsir
تُؤْتِيْٓ اُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِيْنٍ ۢبِاِذْنِ رَبِّهَاۗ وَيَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٢٥
- tu'tī
- تُؤْتِىٓ
- Giving
- ukulahā
- أُكُلَهَا
- its fruit
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- all
- ḥīnin
- حِينٍۭ
- time
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by the permission
- rabbihā
- رَبِّهَاۗ
- of its Lord
- wayaḍribu
- وَيَضْرِبُ
- And Allah sets forth
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah sets forth
- l-amthāla
- ٱلْأَمْثَالَ
- the examples
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- for mankind
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yatadhakkarūna
- يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
- remember
It produces its fruit all the time, by permission of its Lord. And Allah presents examples for the people that perhaps they will be reminded. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 25)Tafsir
وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيْثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيْثَةِ ِۨاجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْاَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ ٢٦
- wamathalu
- وَمَثَلُ
- And (the) example
- kalimatin
- كَلِمَةٍ
- (of) a word
- khabīthatin
- خَبِيثَةٍ
- evil
- kashajaratin
- كَشَجَرَةٍ
- (is) like a tree
- khabīthatin
- خَبِيثَةٍ
- evil
- uj'tuthat
- ٱجْتُثَّتْ
- uprooted
- min
- مِن
- from
- fawqi
- فَوْقِ
- the surface
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- (of) the earth
- mā
- مَا
- not
- lahā
- لَهَا
- for it
- min
- مِن
- (is) any
- qarārin
- قَرَارٍ
- stability
And the example of a bad word is like a bad tree, uprooted from the surface of the earth, not having any stability. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 26)Tafsir
يُثَبِّتُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِى الْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَيُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَۗ وَيَفْعَلُ اللّٰهُ مَا يَشَاۤءُ ࣖ ٢٧
- yuthabbitu
- يُثَبِّتُ
- Allah keeps firm
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah keeps firm
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- bil-qawli
- بِٱلْقَوْلِ
- with the firm word
- l-thābiti
- ٱلثَّابِتِ
- with the firm word
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- wafī
- وَفِى
- and in
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِۖ
- the Hereafter
- wayuḍillu
- وَيُضِلُّ
- And Allah lets go astray
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah lets go astray
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَۚ
- the wrongdoers
- wayafʿalu
- وَيَفْعَلُ
- And Allah does
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah does
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah sends astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 27)Tafsir
۞ اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيْنَ بَدَّلُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ كُفْرًا وَّاَحَلُّوْا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِۙ ٢٨
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Have not
- tara
- تَرَ
- you seen
- ilā
- إِلَى
- [to]
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- baddalū
- بَدَّلُوا۟
- (have) changed
- niʿ'mata
- نِعْمَتَ
- (the) Favor
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- kuf'ran
- كُفْرًا
- (for) disbelief
- wa-aḥallū
- وَأَحَلُّوا۟
- and they led
- qawmahum
- قَوْمَهُمْ
- their people
- dāra
- دَارَ
- (to the) house
- l-bawāri
- ٱلْبَوَارِ
- (of) destruction?
Have you not considered those who exchanged the favor of Allah for disbelief and settled their people [in] the home of ruin? (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 28)Tafsir
جَهَنَّمَ ۚيَصْلَوْنَهَاۗ وَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ ٢٩
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell
- yaṣlawnahā
- يَصْلَوْنَهَاۖ
- (in) it they will burn
- wabi'sa
- وَبِئْسَ
- and a wretched
- l-qarāru
- ٱلْقَرَارُ
- place to settle
[It is] Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the settlement. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 29)Tafsir
وَجَعَلُوْا لِلّٰهِ اَنْدَادًا لِّيُضِلُّوْا عَنْ سَبِيْلِهٖۗ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوْا فَاِنَّ مَصِيْرَكُمْ اِلَى النَّارِ ٣٠
- wajaʿalū
- وَجَعَلُوا۟
- And they set up
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah
- andādan
- أَندَادًا
- equals
- liyuḍillū
- لِّيُضِلُّوا۟
- so that they mislead
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- sabīlihi
- سَبِيلِهِۦۗ
- His Path
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- tamattaʿū
- تَمَتَّعُوا۟
- "Enjoy
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- but indeed
- maṣīrakum
- مَصِيرَكُمْ
- your destination
- ilā
- إِلَى
- (is) to
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire"
And they have attributed to Allah equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy yourselves, for indeed, your destination is the Fire." (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 30)Tafsir
