Al-Qur'an Surah At-Tawbah Verse 67
At-Tawbah [9]: 67 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اَلْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقٰتُ بَعْضُهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْضٍۘ يَأْمُرُوْنَ بِالْمُنْكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوْفِ وَيَقْبِضُوْنَ اَيْدِيَهُمْۗ نَسُوا اللّٰهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ ۗ اِنَّ الْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ هُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ (التوبة : ٩)

- and the hypocrite women

- (is) the right

- فَنَسِيَهُمْۗ
- so He has forgotten them

- the hypocrites

Transliteration:
Almunaafiqoona wal munaafiqaatu ba'duhum mim ba'd; yaamuroona bilmunkari wa yanhawna 'anil ma'roofi wa yaqbidoona aidiyahum; nasul laaha fanasiyahum; innal munaafiqeena humul faasiqoon(QS. at-Tawbah:67)
English / Sahih Translation:
The hypocrite men and hypocrite women are of one another. They enjoin what is wrong and forbid what is right and close their hands. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them [accordingly]. Indeed, the hypocrites – it is they who are the defiantly disobedient. (QS. At-Tawbah, ayah 67)

The hypocrites, males and females, are all alike. They bid vice and forbid virtue and withhold their hands (from spending in Allah’s way). They forgot Allah, so He forgot them. Surely, the hypocrites are the sinners.

They encourage what is bad and dissuade from the good, and tighten their purses (when it comes to spending in the way of God). Of God they are oblivious; so He is oblivious of them. They are oblivious of God (with respect to faith and worship and serving in His cause), and so He is oblivious of them (with respect to rewarding). Assuredly, the hypocrites are those who are the transgressors.

The hypocrites, both men and women, are all (strictly) alike. They enjoin the wrong and forbid the right and withhold their hands (from spending for the cause of Allâh). They have forsaken Allâh, so He (too) has forsaken them. It is the hypocrites who have truly been the rebellious.

The hypocrites (M) and the hypocrites (F) some of them (are) from some (they are for each other), they order/command by the defiance of God and His orders/awfulness/obscenity , and they forbid/prevent from the kindness/generosity and they grasp/tighten/hold their hands, they forgot God, so He forgot them, that the hypocrites, they are the debauchers .

The hypocrites, men and women, are of each other (influence, and agree with, each other, are tied together), bidding what is wrong and forbidding what is right, and they clench their hands (in anger to withhold charity, assistance, or power in the cause of Allah). They forget Allah, so He has forgotten (ignored) them! Verily, the hypocrites are the doers of abomination (rebellious and perverse).

The hypocrites, men and women, are from one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief and polytheism of all kinds and all that Islam has forbidden), and forbid (people) from Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and they close their hands [from giving (spending in Allah's Cause) alms, etc.]. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

The hypocrite men and hypocrite women are of one another. They advocate evil, and prohibit righteousness, and withhold their hands. They forgot God, so He forgot them. The hypocrites are the sinners.
Tafsir jalalayn
The hypocrites, both men and women, are of one another, that is, they resemble one another in religion, as pieces of an individual entity, they enjoin indecency, unbelief and acts of disobedience, and forbid decency, faith and obedience; and they withhold their hands shut, from expending in obedience [of God]; they have forgotten God, they have abandoned obedience of Him, so He has forgotten them, He has deprived them of His grace. Truly the hypocrites, they are the wicked.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
Other Characteristics of Hypocrites
Allah says;
الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّن بَعْضٍ
The hypocrites, men and women, are one from another;
Allah admonishes the hypocrites who, unlike the believers, who enjoin righteousness and forbid evil,
يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ
they enjoin evil, and forbid the good, and they close their hands,
from spending in Allah's cause,
نَسُواْ اللّهَ
They have forgotten Allah,
they have forgotten the remembrance of Allah,
فَنَسِيَهُمْ
so He has forgotten them.
by treating them as if He has forgotten them. Allah also,
وَقِيلَ الْيَوْمَ نَنسَاكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَأءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَـذَا
And it will be said;"This Day We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours. (45;34)
Allah said,
إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
Verily, the hypocrites are the rebellious!
