وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِيْنَۙ ١
- waylun
- وَيْلٌ
- Woe
- lil'muṭaffifīna
- لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
- to those who give less
Woe to those who give less [than due], (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 1)Tafsir
2
الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا اكْتَالُوْا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُوْنَۖ ٢
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- ik'tālū
- ٱكْتَالُوا۟
- they take a measure
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- from
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the people
- yastawfūna
- يَسْتَوْفُونَ
- they take in full
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 2)Tafsir
3
وَاِذَا كَالُوْهُمْ اَوْ وَّزَنُوْهُمْ يُخْسِرُوْنَۗ ٣
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- But when
- kālūhum
- كَالُوهُمْ
- they give by measure (to) them
- aw
- أَو
- or
- wazanūhum
- وَّزَنُوهُمْ
- they weigh (for) them
- yukh'sirūna
- يُخْسِرُونَ
- they give less
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 3)Tafsir
4
اَلَا يَظُنُّ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَنَّهُمْ مَّبْعُوْثُوْنَۙ ٤
- alā
- أَلَا
- Do not
- yaẓunnu
- يَظُنُّ
- think
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- those
- annahum
- أَنَّهُم
- that they
- mabʿūthūna
- مَّبْعُوثُونَ
- (will be) resurrected
Do they not think that they will be resurrected (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 4)Tafsir
5
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍۙ ٥
- liyawmin
- لِيَوْمٍ
- For a Day
- ʿaẓīmin
- عَظِيمٍ
- Great
For a tremendous Day - (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 5)Tafsir
6
يَّوْمَ يَقُوْمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۗ ٦
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (The) Day
- yaqūmu
- يَقُومُ
- will stand
- l-nāsu
- ٱلنَّاسُ
- mankind
- lirabbi
- لِرَبِّ
- before (the) Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds?
The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 6)Tafsir
7
كَلَّآ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِيْ سِجِّيْنٍۗ ٧
- kallā
- كَلَّآ
- Nay!
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- kitāba
- كِتَٰبَ
- (the) record
- l-fujāri
- ٱلْفُجَّارِ
- (of) the wicked
- lafī
- لَفِى
- (is) surely in
- sijjīnin
- سِجِّينٍ
- Sijjin
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 7)Tafsir
8
وَمَآ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا سِجِّيْنٌۗ ٨
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And what
- adrāka
- أَدْرَىٰكَ
- can make you know
- mā
- مَا
- what
- sijjīnun
- سِجِّينٌ
- (is) Sijjin?
And what can make you know what is sijjeen? (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 8)Tafsir
9
كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌۗ ٩
- kitābun
- كِتَٰبٌ
- A book
- marqūmun
- مَّرْقُومٌ
- written
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 9)Tafsir
10
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَۙ ١٠
- waylun
- وَيْلٌ
- Woe
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- that Day
- lil'mukadhibīna
- لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
- to the deniers
Woe, that Day, to the deniers, (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 10)Tafsir
