ءَاِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً ۗ ١١
- a-idhā
- أَءِذَا
- What! When
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we are
- ʿiẓāman
- عِظَٰمًا
- bones
- nakhiratan
- نَّخِرَةً
- decayed?"
Even if we should be decayed bones?" (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 11)Tafsir
12
قَالُوْا تِلْكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ ۘ ١٢
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They say
- til'ka
- تِلْكَ
- "This
- idhan
- إِذًا
- then
- karratun
- كَرَّةٌ
- (would be) a return
- khāsiratun
- خَاسِرَةٌ
- losing"
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 12)Tafsir
13
فَاِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌۙ ١٣
- fa-innamā
- فَإِنَّمَا
- Then only
- hiya
- هِىَ
- it
- zajratun
- زَجْرَةٌ
- (will be) a shout
- wāḥidatun
- وَٰحِدَةٌ
- single
Indeed, it will be but one shout, (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 13)Tafsir
14
فَاِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِۗ ١٤
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- And behold!
- hum
- هُم
- They
- bil-sāhirati
- بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
- (will be) awakened
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 14)Tafsir
15
هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِيْثُ مُوْسٰىۘ ١٥
- hal
- هَلْ
- Has
- atāka
- أَتَىٰكَ
- (there) come to you
- ḥadīthu
- حَدِيثُ
- (the) story
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰٓ
- (of) Musa?
Has there reached you the story of Moses? - (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 15)Tafsir
16
اِذْ نَادٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًىۚ ١٦
- idh
- إِذْ
- When
- nādāhu
- نَادَىٰهُ
- called him
- rabbuhu
- رَبُّهُۥ
- his Lord
- bil-wādi
- بِٱلْوَادِ
- in the valley
- l-muqadasi
- ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ
- the sacred
- ṭuwan
- طُوًى
- (of) Tuwa
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 16)Tafsir
17
اِذْهَبْ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰىۖ ١٧
- idh'hab
- ٱذْهَبْ
- "Go
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- ṭaghā
- طَغَىٰ
- (has) transgressed
"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 17)Tafsir
18
فَقُلْ هَلْ لَّكَ اِلٰٓى اَنْ تَزَكّٰىۙ ١٨
- faqul
- فَقُلْ
- And say
- hal
- هَل
- "Would
- laka
- لَّكَ
- [for] you
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- [until]
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- tazakkā
- تَزَكَّىٰ
- purify yourself?
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 18)Tafsir
19
وَاَهْدِيَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشٰىۚ ١٩
- wa-ahdiyaka
- وَأَهْدِيَكَ
- And I will guide you
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- your Lord
- fatakhshā
- فَتَخْشَىٰ
- so you would fear'"
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 19)Tafsir
20
فَاَرٰىهُ الْاٰيَةَ الْكُبْرٰىۖ ٢٠
- fa-arāhu
- فَأَرَىٰهُ
- Then he showed him
- l-āyata
- ٱلْءَايَةَ
- the sign
- l-kub'rā
- ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
- the great
And he showed him the greatest sign, (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 20)Tafsir
