ذٰلِكَ اَنْ لَّمْ يَكُنْ رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرٰى بِظُلْمٍ وَّاَهْلُهَا غٰفِلُوْنَ ١٣١
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That (is because)
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- lam
- لَّمْ
- not
- yakun
- يَكُن
- is
- rabbuka
- رَّبُّكَ
- your Lord
- muh'lika
- مُهْلِكَ
- one who destroys
- l-qurā
- ٱلْقُرَىٰ
- the cities
- biẓul'min
- بِظُلْمٍ
- for their wrongdoing
- wa-ahluhā
- وَأَهْلُهَا
- while their people
- ghāfilūna
- غَٰفِلُونَ
- (are) unaware
That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 131)Tafsir
وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجٰتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوْاۗ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٣٢
- walikullin
- وَلِكُلٍّ
- And for all
- darajātun
- دَرَجَٰتٌ
- (will be) degrees
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- for what
- ʿamilū
- عَمِلُوا۟ۚ
- they did
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- rabbuka
- رَبُّكَ
- (is) your Lord
- bighāfilin
- بِغَٰفِلٍ
- unaware
- ʿammā
- عَمَّا
- about what
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- they do
And for all are degrees [i.e., positions resulting] from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 132)Tafsir
وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِيُّ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ ۗاِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنْۢ بَعْدِكُمْ مَّا يَشَاۤءُ كَمَآ اَنْشَاَكُمْ مِّنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ اٰخَرِيْنَ ١٣٣
- warabbuka
- وَرَبُّكَ
- And your Lord
- l-ghaniyu
- ٱلْغَنِىُّ
- (is) the Self-Sufficient
- dhū
- ذُو
- (the) Possessor
- l-raḥmati
- ٱلرَّحْمَةِۚ
- (of) mercy
- in
- إِن
- If
- yasha
- يَشَأْ
- He wills
- yudh'hib'kum
- يُذْهِبْكُمْ
- He can take you away
- wayastakhlif
- وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ
- and grant succession
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdikum
- بَعْدِكُم
- after you
- mā
- مَّا
- (to) whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- kamā
- كَمَآ
- as
- ansha-akum
- أَنشَأَكُم
- He raised you
- min
- مِّن
- from
- dhurriyyati
- ذُرِّيَّةِ
- the descendants
- qawmin
- قَوْمٍ
- (of) people
- ākharīna
- ءَاخَرِينَ
- other
And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 133)Tafsir
اِنَّ مَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَاٰتٍۙ وَّمَآ اَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِيْنَ ١٣٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tūʿadūna
- تُوعَدُونَ
- you are promised
- laātin
- لَءَاتٍۖ
- (is) sure to come
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- antum
- أَنتُم
- (can) you
- bimuʿ'jizīna
- بِمُعْجِزِينَ
- escape (it)
Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to Allah]. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 134)Tafsir
قُلْ يٰقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوْا عَلٰى مَكَانَتِكُمْ اِنِّيْ عَامِلٌۚ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ مَنْ تَكُوْنُ لَهٗ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِۗ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ١٣٥

- قُلْ
- Say
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- iʿ'malū
- ٱعْمَلُوا۟
- Work
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- makānatikum
- مَكَانَتِكُمْ
- your position
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed, I am
- ʿāmilun
- عَامِلٌۖ
- a worker
- fasawfa
- فَسَوْفَ
- And soon
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you will know
- man
- مَن
- who
- takūnu
- تَكُونُ
- will have
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for himself
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (in) the end
- l-dāri
- ٱلدَّارِۗ
- (a good) home
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed [he]
- lā
- لَا
- (will) not
- yuf'liḥu
- يُفْلِحُ
- succeed
- l-ẓālimūna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- the wrongdoers"
Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 135)Tafsir
وَجَعَلُوْا لِلّٰهِ مِمَّا ذَرَاَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالْاَنْعَامِ نَصِيْبًا فَقَالُوْا هٰذَا لِلّٰهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهٰذَا لِشُرَكَاۤىِٕنَاۚ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۚوَمَا كَانَ لِلّٰهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ اِلٰى شُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمْۗ سَاۤءَ مَا يَحْكُمُوْنَ ١٣٦
- wajaʿalū
- وَجَعَلُوا۟
- And they assign
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah
- mimmā
- مِمَّا
- out of what
- dhara-a
- ذَرَأَ
- He produced
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ḥarthi
- ٱلْحَرْثِ
- the crops
- wal-anʿāmi
- وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
- and the cattle
- naṣīban
- نَصِيبًا
- a share
- faqālū
- فَقَالُوا۟
- and they say
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- "This
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- (is) for Allah"
- bizaʿmihim
- بِزَعْمِهِمْ
- by their claim
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- "And this
- lishurakāinā
- لِشُرَكَآئِنَاۖ
- (is) for our partners"
- famā
- فَمَا
- But what
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- lishurakāihim
- لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ
- for their partners
- falā
- فَلَا
- (does) not
- yaṣilu
- يَصِلُ
- reach
- ilā
- إِلَى
- [to]
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah
- wamā
- وَمَا
- while what
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- for Allah
- fahuwa
- فَهُوَ
- then it
- yaṣilu
- يَصِلُ
- reaches
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- [to]
- shurakāihim
- شُرَكَآئِهِمْۗ
- their partners
- sāa
- سَآءَ
- Evil
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- yaḥkumūna
- يَحْكُمُونَ
- they judge
And they [i.e., the polytheists] assign to Allah from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allah," by their claim, "and this is for our 'partners' [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allah, while what is for Allah – this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 136)Tafsir
وَكَذٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيْرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ قَتْلَ اَوْلَادِهِمْ شُرَكَاۤؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوْهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ دِيْنَهُمْۗ وَلَوْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ مَا فَعَلُوْهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ١٣٧
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And likewise
- zayyana
- زَيَّنَ
- made pleasing
- likathīrin
- لِكَثِيرٍ
- to many
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-mush'rikīna
- ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
- the polytheists
- qatla
- قَتْلَ
- (the) killing
- awlādihim
- أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ
- (of) their children
- shurakāuhum
- شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ
- their partners
- liyur'dūhum
- لِيُرْدُوهُمْ
- so that they may ruin them
- waliyalbisū
- وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟
- and that they make confusing
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- dīnahum
- دِينَهُمْۖ
- their religion
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- (had) willed
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- not
- faʿalūhu
- فَعَلُوهُۖ
- (would) they have done so
- fadharhum
- فَذَرْهُمْ
- So leave them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- yaftarūna
- يَفْتَرُونَ
- they invent
And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 137)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا هٰذِهٖٓ اَنْعَامٌ وَّحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ اِلَّا مَنْ نَّشَاۤءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَاَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُوْرُهَا وَاَنْعَامٌ لَّا يَذْكُرُوْنَ اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَاۤءً عَلَيْهِۗ سَيَجْزِيْهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ١٣٨
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- hādhihi
- هَٰذِهِۦٓ
- "These
- anʿāmun
- أَنْعَٰمٌ
- cattle
- waḥarthun
- وَحَرْثٌ
- and crops
- ḥij'run
- حِجْرٌ
- (are) forbidden
- lā
- لَّا
- no (one)
- yaṭʿamuhā
- يَطْعَمُهَآ
- can eat them
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- man
- مَن
- whom
- nashāu
- نَّشَآءُ
- we will"
- bizaʿmihim
- بِزَعْمِهِمْ
- by their claim
- wa-anʿāmun
- وَأَنْعَٰمٌ
- And cattle
- ḥurrimat
- حُرِّمَتْ
- forbidden
- ẓuhūruhā
- ظُهُورُهَا
- (are) their backs
- wa-anʿāmun
- وَأَنْعَٰمٌ
- and cattle
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- yadhkurūna
- يَذْكُرُونَ
- they mention
- is'ma
- ٱسْمَ
- (the) name
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalayhā
- عَلَيْهَا
- on it
- if'tirāan
- ٱفْتِرَآءً
- (as) an invention
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِۚ
- against Him
- sayajzīhim
- سَيَجْزِيهِم
- He will recompense them
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yaftarūna
- يَفْتَرُونَ
- invent
And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them] and those upon which the name of Allah is not mentioned – [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him. He will punish them for what they were inventing. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 138)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا مَا فِيْ بُطُوْنِ هٰذِهِ الْاَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُوْرِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلٰٓى اَزْوَاجِنَاۚ وَاِنْ يَّكُنْ مَّيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيْهِ شُرَكَاۤءُ ۗسَيَجْزِيْهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْۗ اِنَّهٗ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ ١٣٩
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- mā
- مَا
- "What
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- buṭūni
- بُطُونِ
- (the) wombs
- hādhihi
- هَٰذِهِ
- (of) these
- l-anʿāmi
- ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
- cattle
- khāliṣatun
- خَالِصَةٌ
- (is) exclusively
- lidhukūrinā
- لِّذُكُورِنَا
- for our males
- wamuḥarramun
- وَمُحَرَّمٌ
- and forbidden
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- on
- azwājinā
- أَزْوَٰجِنَاۖ
- our spouses
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- But if
- yakun
- يَكُن
- is
- maytatan
- مَّيْتَةً
- (born) dead
- fahum
- فَهُمْ
- then they (all)
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- in it"
- shurakāu
- شُرَكَآءُۚ
- (are) partners"
- sayajzīhim
- سَيَجْزِيهِمْ
- He will recompense them
- waṣfahum
- وَصْفَهُمْۚ
- (for) their attribution
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed, He
- ḥakīmun
- حَكِيمٌ
- (is) All-Wise
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌ
- All-Knowing
And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 139)Tafsir
قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِيْنَ قَتَلُوْٓا اَوْلَادَهُمْ سَفَهًاۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَّحَرَّمُوْا مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّٰهُ افْتِرَاۤءً عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۗقَدْ ضَلُّوْا وَمَا كَانُوْا مُهْتَدِيْنَ ࣖ ١٤٠
- qad
- قَدْ
- Certainly
- khasira
- خَسِرَ
- (are) lost
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- qatalū
- قَتَلُوٓا۟
- killed
- awlādahum
- أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ
- their children
- safahan
- سَفَهًۢا
- (in) foolishness
- bighayri
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍ
- knowledge
- waḥarramū
- وَحَرَّمُوا۟
- and forbid
- mā
- مَا
- what
- razaqahumu
- رَزَقَهُمُ
- (bas been) provided (to) them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (by) Allah
- if'tirāan
- ٱفْتِرَآءً
- inventing (lies)
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- against
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah
- qad
- قَدْ
- Certainly
- ḍallū
- ضَلُّوا۟
- they have gone astray
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they are
- muh'tadīna
- مُهْتَدِينَ
- guided-ones
They will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allah had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allah. They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 140)Tafsir
