Surah Adh-Dhariyat - Page: 6

(The Winnowing Winds)

51

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوْا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَۗ اِنِّيْ لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٥١

walā
وَلَا
And (do) not
tajʿalū
تَجْعَلُوا۟
make
maʿa
مَعَ
with
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
ilāhan
إِلَٰهًا
god
ākhara
ءَاخَرَۖ
another
innī
إِنِّى
Indeed I am
lakum
لَكُم
to you
min'hu
مِّنْهُ
from Him
nadhīrun
نَذِيرٌ
a warner
mubīnun
مُّبِينٌ
clear
And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 51)
Tafsir
52

كَذٰلِكَ مَآ اَتَى الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ رَّسُوْلٍ اِلَّا قَالُوْا سَاحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُوْنٌ ٥٢

كَذَٰلِكَ
Likewise
مَآ
not
atā
أَتَى
came
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
(to) those
min
مِن
before them
qablihim
قَبْلِهِم
before them
min
مِّن
any
rasūlin
رَّسُولٍ
Messenger
illā
إِلَّا
but
qālū
قَالُوا۟
they said
sāḥirun
سَاحِرٌ
"A magician
aw
أَوْ
or
majnūnun
مَجْنُونٌ
a madman"
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 52)
Tafsir
53

اَتَوَاصَوْا بِهٖۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُوْنَۚ ٥٣

atawāṣaw
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟
Have they transmitted it to them?
bihi
بِهِۦۚ
Have they transmitted it to them?
bal
بَلْ
Nay
hum
هُمْ
they
qawmun
قَوْمٌ
(are) a people
ṭāghūna
طَاغُونَ
transgressing
Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 53)
Tafsir
54

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ اَنْتَ بِمَلُوْمٍ ٥٤

fatawalla
فَتَوَلَّ
So turn away
ʿanhum
عَنْهُمْ
from them
famā
فَمَآ
for not
anta
أَنتَ
you
bimalūmin
بِمَلُومٍ
(are) to be blamed
So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 54)
Tafsir
55

وَذَكِّرْ فَاِنَّ الذِّكْرٰى تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٥٥

wadhakkir
وَذَكِّرْ
And remind
fa-inna
فَإِنَّ
for indeed
l-dhik'rā
ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
the reminder
tanfaʿu
تَنفَعُ
benefits
l-mu'minīna
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the believers
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 55)
Tafsir
56

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْاِنْسَ اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنِ ٥٦

wamā
وَمَا
And not
khalaqtu
خَلَقْتُ
I have created
l-jina
ٱلْجِنَّ
the jinn
wal-insa
وَٱلْإِنسَ
and the mankind
illā
إِلَّا
except
liyaʿbudūni
لِيَعْبُدُونِ
that they worship Me
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 56)
Tafsir
57

مَآ اُرِيْدُ مِنْهُمْ مِّنْ رِّزْقٍ وَّمَآ اُرِيْدُ اَنْ يُّطْعِمُوْنِ ٥٧

مَآ
Not
urīdu
أُرِيدُ
I want
min'hum
مِنْهُم
from them
min
مِّن
any
riz'qin
رِّزْقٍ
provision
wamā
وَمَآ
and not
urīdu
أُرِيدُ
I want
an
أَن
that
yuṭ'ʿimūni
يُطْعِمُونِ
they (should) feed Me
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 57)
Tafsir
58

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِيْنُ ٥٨

inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
huwa
هُوَ
He
l-razāqu
ٱلرَّزَّاقُ
(is) the All-Provider
dhū
ذُو
Possessor
l-quwati
ٱلْقُوَّةِ
(of) Power
l-matīnu
ٱلْمَتِينُ
the Strong
Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 58)
Tafsir
59

فَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا ذَنُوْبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوْبِ اَصْحٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِ ٥٩

fa-inna
فَإِنَّ
So indeed
lilladhīna
لِلَّذِينَ
for those who
ẓalamū
ظَلَمُوا۟
do wrong
dhanūban
ذَنُوبًا
(is) a portion
mith'la
مِّثْلَ
like
dhanūbi
ذَنُوبِ
(the) portion
aṣḥābihim
أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ
(of) their companions
falā
فَلَا
so let them not ask Me to hasten
yastaʿjilūni
يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
so let them not ask Me to hasten
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 59)
Tafsir
60

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ يَّوْمِهِمُ الَّذِيْ يُوْعَدُوْنَ ࣖ ٦٠

fawaylun
فَوَيْلٌ
Then woe
lilladhīna
لِّلَّذِينَ
to those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
min
مِن
from
yawmihimu
يَوْمِهِمُ
their Day
alladhī
ٱلَّذِى
which
yūʿadūna
يُوعَدُونَ
they are promised
And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 60)
