Al-Qur'an Surah Qaf Verse 32

Qaf [50]: 32 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

هٰذَا مَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لِكُلِّ اَوَّابٍ حَفِيْظٍۚ (ق : ٥٠)

Transliteration:

Haaza maa too'adoona likulli awwaabin hafeez (QS. Q̈āf:32)

English / Sahih Translation:

[It will be said], "This is what you were promised – for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]. (QS. Qaf, ayah 32)

(And it will be said,) “This is what you were promised for everyone who was oft-returning to Allah, vigilant (against sins),

Tafsir jalalayn

`This, that you see, is what you were promised (read t`adna, or [third person plural] y`adna, `they were promised'), in the world (and [what follows] substitutes for li'l-muttaqna, `for the God-fearing') -- [it is] for every penitent one, [for every] person reverting [after sin] to obedience of God, who is mindful, mindful of the bounds [of God's religion],

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ

This is what you were promised -- (it is) for those returning,

means, who go back to Allah in sincere repentance intending not to repeat sin,

حَفِيظٍ


Hafiz,

who preserve their covenant with Allah and do not break or betray it
