Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zukhruf Verse 26
Az-Zukhruf [43]: 26 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَاِذْ قَالَ اِبْرٰهِيْمُ لِاَبِيْهِ وَقَوْمِهٖٓ اِنَّنِيْ بَرَاۤءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ (الزخرف : ٤٣)
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Ibrahim said
- ib'rāhīmu
- إِبْرَٰهِيمُ
- Ibrahim said
- li-abīhi
- لِأَبِيهِ
- to his father
- waqawmihi
- وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ
- and his people
- innanī
- إِنَّنِى
- "Indeed, I (am)
- barāon
- بَرَآءٌ
- disassociated
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- from what
- taʿbudūna
- تَعْبُدُونَ
- you worship
Transliteration:
Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu liabeehi wa qawmiheee innane baraaa'um mimmaa ta'budo(QS. az-Zukhruf:26)
English / Sahih Translation:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship (QS. Az-Zukhruf, ayah 26)

Ibrahim's Declaration of Tawhid Here
Allah reminds,
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لاِإَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ
And (remember) when Ibrahim said to his father and his people;
Allah tells us about His servant, Messenger and close Friend, the leader of the monotheists and the father of all subsequent Prophets, from whom Quraysh were descended and claimed to have taken their religion.
He disowned his father's and his people's worship of idols and said;
إِنَّنِي بَرَاء مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ
إِلاَّ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ
