Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zukhruf Verse 24

He said, “Even if I bring to you something better in guidance than that on which you have found your fathers?” They said, “We totally disbelieve in what you are sent with.”

Each ˹warner˺ asked, “Even if what I brought you is better guidance than what you found your forefathers practicing?” They replied, “We totally reject whatever you have been sent with.”

(Thereupon the Warner to them) said, `(Would you still follow the wrong course in their footsteps) even though I bring a (teaching giving) better guidance than that on which you found your fathers.´ They said, `We are disbelievers altogether (in the teaching) with which you are sent.´

He (the messenger) said : "Even if I came to you with more guiding than what you found on it your fathers?" They said: "We (E) (are) with what you were sent with it (are) disbelievers."

He said: "Even if I bring you better guidance than that which you found your fathers following" They said: "Verily, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."

Each messenger said, "What if I should bring you better guidance than what you found your forefathers had?" They replied, "We reject any message you have been sent with!"

He would say, “Even if I bring you better guidance than what you found your parents following?” They would say, “We reject what you are sent with.”

Tafsir jalalayn

Say, to them; `What! Will you follow them, even if I bring you a better [means to] guidance than what you found your fathers following?' They say, `Lo! we disbelieve in what you, and those before you, are sent with'. God, exalted be He, says to them, as a threat to them;

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

He said;"Even if I bring you better guidance than that which you found your fathers following"

They said;"Verily, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."

`Even if they were convinced of the truth of what you have brought to them, they will not follow it, because of their evil intentions and their arrogance towards the truth and its people.'
