Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nisa Verse 116
An-Nisa [4]: 116 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ اَنْ يُّشْرَكَ بِهٖ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۗ وَمَنْ يُّشْرِكْ بِاللّٰهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلٰلًا ۢ بَعِيْدًا (النساء : ٤)

Transliteration:
Innal laaha laa yaghfiru ai yushraka bihee wayaghfiru maa doona zaalika limai yashaaa'; wa mai yushrik billaahi faqad dalla dalaalam ba'eedaa(QS. an-Nisāʾ:116)
English / Sahih Translation:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray. (QS. An-Nisa, ayah 116)
Mufti Taqi Usmani
Surely, Allah does not forgive that a partner is ascribed to Him, and forgives anything short of that for whomsoever He wills. Whoever ascribes a partner to Allah has indeed gone far astray.

Surely Allah does not forgive associating ˹others˺ with Him ˹in worship˺,[[ This applies to those who die in a state of disbelief in Allah. But those who repent before their death and mend their ways, their repentance will be accepted (see {25:68}-70).]] but forgives anything else of whoever He wills. Indeed, whoever associates ˹others˺ with Allah has clearly gone far astray.

Allâh does not forgive (without repentance on the part of the sinner) that a partner be associated with Him though He forgives everything short of that to whomsoever He will. And he who associates a partner with Allâh has strayed, indeed, a far off straying.
English Literal
That God does not forgive that He be made a partner with Him, and He forgives what (is) other than that to whom He wants/wills, and who shares/makes partners with God, so he had misguided a distant misguidance.

Tafsir jalalayn
God does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him; He forgives all except that, to whomever He will. Whoever associates anything with God, verily he has strayed far away, from the truth.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
Shirk Shall not be Forgiven, in Reality the Idolators Worship Shaytan
We talked about Allah's statement,
إِنَّ اللّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاء
Verily, Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that,
before (Ayah 48) and mentioned the relevant Hadiths in the beginning of this Surah.
Allah's statement,
وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَلاً بَعِيدًا
and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away.
means, he will have taken other than the true path, deviated from guidance and righteousness, destroyed himself in this life and the Hereafter, and lost contentment in this life and the Hereafter
