Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zumar Verse 50
Az-Zumar [39]: 50 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ (الزمر : ٣٩)

Transliteration:
Qad qaalahul lazeena min qablihim famaaa aghnaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yaksiboon(QS. az-Zumar:50)
English / Sahih Translation:
Those before them had already said it, but they were not availed by what they used to earn. (QS. Az-Zumar, ayah 50)

The same was said by those before them, but what they used to earn was of no avail to them,

Tafsir jalalayn
Already the same was said by those who were before them, of communities, such as Korah and those of his people who were content with such [a saying]. But what they used to earn did not avail them.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ
Verily, those before them said it,
means, the previous nations who came before said the same things and made the same claims,
فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
yet (all) that they had earned availed them not.
means, what they said was not right and all that they had gathered did not save them
