Surah As-Sajdah - Page: 3

(The Prostration)

21

walanudhīqannahum
وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم
And surely We will let them taste
mina

of
l-ʿadhābi
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the punishment
l-adnā
ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ

l-ʿadhābi
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the punishment
l-akbari
ٱلْأَكْبَرِ
the greater
laʿallahum
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
yarjiʿūna
يَرْجِعُونَ
return
And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent]. (QS. [32] As-Sajdah: 21)

And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution. (QS. [32] As-Sajdah: 22)

And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so do not be in doubt over his meeting. And We made it [i.e., the Torah] guidance for the Children of Israel. (QS. [32] As-Sajdah: 23)
