لَقَدْ سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ فَقِيْرٌ وَّنَحْنُ اَغْنِيَاۤءُ ۘ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوْا وَقَتْلَهُمُ الْاَنْۢبِيَاۤءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّۙ وَّنَقُوْلُ ذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيْقِ ١٨١

- Certainly
- samiʿa
- سَمِعَ
- heard
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- qawla
- قَوْلَ
- (the) saying
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- said
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- faqīrun
- فَقِيرٌ
- (is) poor
- wanaḥnu
- وَنَحْنُ
- while we
- aghniyāu
- أَغْنِيَآءُۘ
- (are) rich"
- sanaktubu
- سَنَكْتُبُ
- We will record
- mā
- مَا
- what
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- waqatlahumu
- وَقَتْلَهُمُ
- and their killing
- l-anbiyāa
- ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ
- the Prophets
- bighayri
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- ḥaqqin
- حَقٍّ
- (any) right
- wanaqūlu
- وَنَقُولُ
- and We will say
- dhūqū
- ذُوقُوا۟
- "Taste
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- (the) punishment
- l-ḥarīqi
- ٱلْحَرِيقِ
- (of) the Burning Fire"
Allah has certainly heard the statement of those [Jews] who said, "Indeed, Allah is poor, while we are rich." We will record what they said and their killing of the prophets without right and will say, "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 181)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْكُمْ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيْدِۚ ١٨٢
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bimā
- بِمَا
- (is) because
- qaddamat
- قَدَّمَتْ
- (of what) sent forth
- aydīkum
- أَيْدِيكُمْ
- your hands
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- and that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- laysa
- لَيْسَ
- is not
- biẓallāmin
- بِظَلَّامٍ
- unjust
- lil'ʿabīdi
- لِّلْعَبِيدِ
- to (His) slaves
That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 182)Tafsir
اَلَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَهِدَ اِلَيْنَآ اَلَّا نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُوْلٍ حَتّٰى يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ ۗ قُلْ قَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِيْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ وَبِالَّذِيْ قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوْهُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ١٨٣
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- said
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿahida
- عَهِدَ
- (has) taken promise
- ilaynā
- إِلَيْنَآ
- from us
- allā
- أَلَّا
- that not
- nu'mina
- نُؤْمِنَ
- we (should) believe
- lirasūlin
- لِرَسُولٍ
- in a Messenger
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yatiyanā
- يَأْتِيَنَا
- he brings to us
- biqur'bānin
- بِقُرْبَانٍ
- a sacrifice
- takuluhu
- تَأْكُلُهُ
- consumes it
- l-nāru
- ٱلنَّارُۗ
- the fire"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- qad
- قَدْ
- "Surely
- jāakum
- جَآءَكُمْ
- came to you
- rusulun
- رُسُلٌ
- Messengers
- min
- مِّن
- from
- qablī
- قَبْلِى
- before me
- bil-bayināti
- بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
- with the clear Signs
- wabi-alladhī
- وَبِٱلَّذِى
- and with what
- qul'tum
- قُلْتُمْ
- you speak
- falima
- فَلِمَ
- So why
- qataltumūhum
- قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ
- you killed them
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ṣādiqīna
- صَٰدِقِينَ
- truthful
[They are] those who said, "Indeed, Allah has taken our promise not to believe any messenger until he brings us an offering which fire [from heaven] will consume." Say, "There have already come to you messengers before me with clear proofs and [even] that of which you speak. So why did you kill them, if you should be truthful?" (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 183)Tafsir
فَاِنْ كَذَّبُوْكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ جَاۤءُوْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَالْكِتٰبِ الْمُنِيْرِ ١٨٤
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- Then if
- kadhabūka
- كَذَّبُوكَ
- they reject you
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- then certainly
- kudhiba
- كُذِّبَ
- were rejected
- rusulun
- رُسُلٌ
- Messengers
- min
- مِّن
- from
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- jāū
- جَآءُو
- (who) came
- bil-bayināti
- بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
- with the clear Signs
- wal-zuburi
- وَٱلزُّبُرِ
- and the Scriptures
- wal-kitābi
- وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- and the Book
- l-munīri
- ٱلْمُنِيرِ
- [the] Enlightening
Then if they deny you, [O Muhammad] – so were messengers denied before you, who brought clear proofs and written ordinances and the enlightening Scripture. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 184)Tafsir
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ الْمَوْتِۗ وَاِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ اُجُوْرَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۗ فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَاُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ ۗ وَمَا الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَآ اِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُوْرِ ١٨٥
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- Every
- nafsin
- نَفْسٍ
- soul
- dhāiqatu
- ذَآئِقَةُ
- (will) taste
- l-mawti
- ٱلْمَوْتِۗ
- [the] death
- wa-innamā
- وَإِنَّمَا
- and only
- tuwaffawna
- تُوَفَّوْنَ
- you will be paid in full
- ujūrakum
- أُجُورَكُمْ
- your reward
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۖ
- (of) [the] Resurrection
- faman
- فَمَن
- Then whoever
- zuḥ'ziḥa
- زُحْزِحَ
- is drawn away
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- from
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire
- wa-ud'khila
- وَأُدْخِلَ
- and admitted
- l-janata
- ٱلْجَنَّةَ
- (to) Paradise
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- then surely
- fāza
- فَازَۗ
- he is successful
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- (is) the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَآ
- (of) the world
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- matāʿu
- مَتَٰعُ
- enjoyment
- l-ghurūri
- ٱلْغُرُورِ
- (of) delusion
Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 185)Tafsir
۞ لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِيْٓ اَمْوَالِكُمْ وَاَنْفُسِكُمْۗ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اَشْرَكُوْٓا اَذًى كَثِيْرًا ۗ وَاِنْ تَصْبِرُوْا وَتَتَّقُوْا فَاِنَّ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْاُمُوْرِ ١٨٦
- latub'lawunna
- لَتُبْلَوُنَّ
- You will certainly be tested
- fī
- فِىٓ
- in
- amwālikum
- أَمْوَٰلِكُمْ
- your wealth
- wa-anfusikum
- وَأَنفُسِكُمْ
- and yourselves
- walatasmaʿunna
- وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ
- And you will certainly hear
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- were given
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablikum
- قَبْلِكُمْ
- before you
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- and from
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ashrakū
- أَشْرَكُوٓا۟
- associate partners with Allah
- adhan
- أَذًى
- hurtful things
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًاۚ
- many
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- and if
- taṣbirū
- تَصْبِرُوا۟
- you are patient
- watattaqū
- وَتَتَّقُوا۟
- and fear (Allah)
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- min
- مِنْ
- (is) of
- ʿazmi
- عَزْمِ
- the matters
- l-umūri
- ٱلْأُمُورِ
- (of) determination
You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah – indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of resolve. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 186)Tafsir
وَاِذْ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِيْثَاقَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهٗ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكْتُمُوْنَهٗۖ فَنَبَذُوْهُ وَرَاۤءَ ظُهُوْرِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْا بِهٖ ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًا ۗ فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُوْنَ ١٨٧
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- akhadha
- أَخَذَ
- took
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- mīthāqa
- مِيثَٰقَ
- a Covenant
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (from) those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- were given
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- latubayyinunnahu
- لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥ
- "You certainly make it clear
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- to the mankind
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- taktumūnahu
- تَكْتُمُونَهُۥ
- conceal it
- fanabadhūhu
- فَنَبَذُوهُ
- Then they threw it
- warāa
- وَرَآءَ
- behind
- ẓuhūrihim
- ظُهُورِهِمْ
- their backs
- wa-ish'taraw
- وَٱشْتَرَوْا۟
- and they exchanged
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [with] it
- thamanan
- ثَمَنًا
- (for) a price
- qalīlan
- قَلِيلًاۖ
- little
- fabi'sa
- فَبِئْسَ
- And wretched
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- yashtarūna
- يَشْتَرُونَ
- they purchase
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture, [saying], "You must make it clear [i.e., explain it] to the people and not conceal it." But they threw it away behind their backs and exchanged it for a small price. And wretched is that which they purchased. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 187)Tafsir
لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَفْرَحُوْنَ بِمَآ اَتَوْا وَّيُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ يُّحْمَدُوْا بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُوْا فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّهُمْ بِمَفَازَةٍ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ١٨٨
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- taḥsabanna
- تَحْسَبَنَّ
- think
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (that) those who
- yafraḥūna
- يَفْرَحُونَ
- rejoice
- bimā
- بِمَآ
- in what
- ataw
- أَتَوا۟
- (they have) brought
- wayuḥibbūna
- وَّيُحِبُّونَ
- and they love
- an
- أَن
- that
- yuḥ'madū
- يُحْمَدُوا۟
- they be praised
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yafʿalū
- يَفْعَلُوا۟
- they do -
- falā
- فَلَا
- so (do) not
- taḥsabannahum
- تَحْسَبَنَّهُم
- think (that) they
- bimafāzatin
- بِمَفَازَةٍ
- (will) escape
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِۖ
- the punishment;
- walahum
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is a) punishment
- alīmun
- أَلِيمٌ
- painful
And never think that those who rejoice in what they have perpetrated and like to be praised for what they did not do – never think them [to be] in safety from the punishment, and for them is a painful punishment. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 188)Tafsir
وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ࣖ ١٨٩
- walillahi
- وَلِلَّهِ
- And for Allah
- mul'ku
- مُلْكُ
- (is the) dominion
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِۗ
- and the earth
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- and Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- (is) on
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- qadīrun
- قَدِيرٌ
- All-Powerful
And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is over all things competent. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 189)Tafsir
اِنَّ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّاُولِى الْاَلْبَابِۙ ١٩٠
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- khalqi
- خَلْقِ
- (the) creation
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- wa-ikh'tilāfi
- وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ
- and (in the) alternation
- al-layli
- ٱلَّيْلِ
- (of) the night
- wal-nahāri
- وَٱلنَّهَارِ
- and the day
- laāyātin
- لَءَايَٰتٍ
- (are) surely Signs
- li-ulī
- لِّأُو۟لِى
- for men
- l-albābi
- ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
- (of) understanding
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding – (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 190)Tafsir
