وَلَهُمْ مَّقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيْدٍ ٢١
- walahum
- وَلَهُم
- And for them
- maqāmiʿu
- مَّقَٰمِعُ
- (are) hooked rods
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- ḥadīdin
- حَدِيدٍ
- iron
And for [striking] them are maces of iron. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 21)Tafsir
كُلَّمَآ اَرَادُوْٓا اَنْ يَّخْرُجُوْا مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ اُعِيْدُوْا فِيْهَا وَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيْقِ ࣖ ٢٢
- kullamā
- كُلَّمَآ
- Every time
- arādū
- أَرَادُوٓا۟
- they want
- an
- أَن
- to
- yakhrujū
- يَخْرُجُوا۟
- come out
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- from it
- min
- مِنْ
- from
- ghammin
- غَمٍّ
- anguish
- uʿīdū
- أُعِيدُوا۟
- they will be returned
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- wadhūqū
- وَذُوقُوا۟
- "Taste
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- (the) punishment
- l-ḥarīqi
- ٱلْحَرِيقِ
- (of) the Burning Fire!"
Every time they want to get out of it [i.e., Hellfire] from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!" (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 22)Tafsir
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيْهَا مِنْ اَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَّلُؤْلُؤًاۗ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيْهَا حَرِيْرٌ ٢٣
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yud'khilu
- يُدْخِلُ
- will admit
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and do
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- the righteous deeds
- jannātin
- جَنَّٰتٍ
- (to) Gardens
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- flow
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihā
- تَحْتِهَا
- underneath it
- l-anhāru
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
- the rivers
- yuḥallawna
- يُحَلَّوْنَ
- They will be adorned
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- min
- مِنْ
- with
- asāwira
- أَسَاوِرَ
- bracelets
- min
- مِن
- of
- dhahabin
- ذَهَبٍ
- gold
- walu'lu-an
- وَلُؤْلُؤًاۖ
- and pearl
- walibāsuhum
- وَلِبَاسُهُمْ
- and their garments
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- ḥarīrun
- حَرِيرٌ
- (will be of) silk
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 23)Tafsir
وَهُدُوْٓا اِلَى الطَّيِّبِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِۚ وَهُدُوْٓا اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الْحَمِيْدِ ٢٤
- wahudū
- وَهُدُوٓا۟
- And they were guided
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-ṭayibi
- ٱلطَّيِّبِ
- the good
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-qawli
- ٱلْقَوْلِ
- the speech
- wahudū
- وَهُدُوٓا۟
- and they were guided
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- ṣirāṭi
- صِرَٰطِ
- (the) path
- l-ḥamīdi
- ٱلْحَمِيدِ
- (of) the Praiseworthy
And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 24)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَيَصُدُّوْنَ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ الَّذِيْ جَعَلْنٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَاۤءً ۨالْعَاكِفُ فِيْهِ وَالْبَادِۗ وَمَنْ يُّرِدْ فِيْهِ بِاِلْحَادٍۢ بِظُلْمٍ نُّذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ ࣖ ٢٥
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- wayaṣuddūna
- وَيَصُدُّونَ
- and hinder
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- sabīli
- سَبِيلِ
- (the) way
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wal-masjidi
- وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ
- and Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
- l-ḥarāmi
- ٱلْحَرَامِ
- and Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- which
- jaʿalnāhu
- جَعَلْنَٰهُ
- We made it
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- for the mankind
- sawāan
- سَوَآءً
- equal
- l-ʿākifu
- ٱلْعَٰكِفُ
- (are) the resident
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- therein
- wal-bādi
- وَٱلْبَادِۚ
- and the visitor
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- yurid
- يُرِدْ
- intends
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- therein
- bi-il'ḥādin
- بِإِلْحَادٍۭ
- of deviation
- biẓul'min
- بِظُلْمٍ
- (or) wrongdoing
- nudhiq'hu
- نُّذِقْهُ
- We will make him taste
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- ʿadhābin
- عَذَابٍ
- a punishment
- alīmin
- أَلِيمٍ
- painful
Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people – equal are the resident therein and one from outside – and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] by wrongdoing – We will make him taste of a painful punishment. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 25)Tafsir
وَاِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِاِبْرٰهِيْمَ مَكَانَ الْبَيْتِ اَنْ لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِيْ شَيْـًٔا وَّطَهِّرْ بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّاۤىِٕفِيْنَ وَالْقَاۤىِٕمِيْنَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُوْدِ ٢٦
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- bawwanā
- بَوَّأْنَا
- We assigned
- li-ib'rāhīma
- لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
- to Ibrahim
- makāna
- مَكَانَ
- (the) site
- l-bayti
- ٱلْبَيْتِ
- (of) the House
- an
- أَن
- "That
- lā
- لَّا
- (do) not
- tush'rik
- تُشْرِكْ
- associate
- bī
- بِى
- with Me
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- waṭahhir
- وَطَهِّرْ
- and purify
- baytiya
- بَيْتِىَ
- My House
- lilṭṭāifīna
- لِلطَّآئِفِينَ
- for those who circumambulate
- wal-qāimīna
- وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ
- and those who stand
- wal-rukaʿi
- وَٱلرُّكَّعِ
- and those who bow
- l-sujūdi
- ٱلسُّجُودِ
- (and) those who prostrate
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform ‹Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 26)Tafsir
وَاَذِّنْ فِى النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوْكَ رِجَالًا وَّعَلٰى كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَّأْتِيْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيْقٍ ۙ ٢٧
- wa-adhin
- وَأَذِّن
- And proclaim
- fī
- فِى
- to
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- [the] mankind
- bil-ḥaji
- بِٱلْحَجِّ
- [of] the Pilgrimage;
- yatūka
- يَأْتُوكَ
- they will come to you
- rijālan
- رِجَالًا
- (on) foot
- waʿalā
- وَعَلَىٰ
- and on
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- ḍāmirin
- ضَامِرٍ
- lean camel;
- yatīna
- يَأْتِينَ
- they will come
- min
- مِن
- from
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- fajjin
- فَجٍّ
- mountain highway
- ʿamīqin
- عَمِيقٍ
- distant
And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass – (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 27)Tafsir
لِّيَشْهَدُوْا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ فِيْٓ اَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُوْمٰتٍ عَلٰى مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَهِيْمَةِ الْاَنْعَامِۚ فَكُلُوْا مِنْهَا وَاَطْعِمُوا الْبَاۤىِٕسَ الْفَقِيْرَ ۖ ٢٨
- liyashhadū
- لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟
- That they may witness
- manāfiʿa
- مَنَٰفِعَ
- benefits
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- wayadhkurū
- وَيَذْكُرُوا۟
- and mention
- is'ma
- ٱسْمَ
- (the) name
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- fī
- فِىٓ
- on
- ayyāmin
- أَيَّامٍ
- days
- maʿlūmātin
- مَّعْلُومَٰتٍ
- known
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- mā
- مَا
- what
- razaqahum
- رَزَقَهُم
- He has provided them
- min
- مِّنۢ
- of
- bahīmati
- بَهِيمَةِ
- (the) beast
- l-anʿāmi
- ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِۖ
- (of) cattle
- fakulū
- فَكُلُوا۟
- So eat
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- of them
- wa-aṭʿimū
- وَأَطْعِمُوا۟
- and feed
- l-bāisa
- ٱلْبَآئِسَ
- the miserable
- l-faqīra
- ٱلْفَقِيرَ
- the poor
That they may witness [i.e., attend] benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known [i.e., specific] days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 28)Tafsir
ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوْا تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوْفُوْا نُذُوْرَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوْا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيْقِ ٢٩
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- l'yaqḍū
- لْيَقْضُوا۟
- let them complete
- tafathahum
- تَفَثَهُمْ
- their prescribed duties
- walyūfū
- وَلْيُوفُوا۟
- and fulfil
- nudhūrahum
- نُذُورَهُمْ
- their vows
- walyaṭṭawwafū
- وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟
- and circumambulate
- bil-bayti
- بِٱلْبَيْتِ
- the House
- l-ʿatīqi
- ٱلْعَتِيقِ
- [the] Ancient"
Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform ‹Tawaf around the ancient House." (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 29)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ وَمَنْ يُّعَظِّمْ حُرُمٰتِ اللّٰهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهٗ عِنْدَ رَبِّهٖۗ وَاُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ الْاَنْعَامُ اِلَّا مَا يُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْاَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوْا قَوْلَ الزُّوْرِ ۙ ٣٠
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- yuʿaẓẓim
- يُعَظِّمْ
- honors
- ḥurumāti
- حُرُمَٰتِ
- (the) sacred rites
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- fahuwa
- فَهُوَ
- then it
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) best
- lahu
- لَّهُۥ
- for him
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- near
- rabbihi
- رَبِّهِۦۗ
- his Lord
- wa-uḥillat
- وَأُحِلَّتْ
- And are made lawful
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- to you
- l-anʿāmu
- ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ
- the cattle
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yut'lā
- يُتْلَىٰ
- is recited
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْۖ
- to you
- fa-ij'tanibū
- فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟
- So avoid
- l-rij'sa
- ٱلرِّجْسَ
- the abomination
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-awthāni
- ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ
- the idols
- wa-ij'tanibū
- وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟
- and avoid
- qawla
- قَوْلَ
- (the) word
- l-zūri
- ٱلزُّورِ
- false
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah – it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement, (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 30)Tafsir
