وَجَعَلْنَا فِى الْاَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ اَنْ تَمِيْدَ بِهِمْۖ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيْهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُوْنَ ٣١
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- And We (have) placed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- rawāsiya
- رَوَٰسِىَ
- firmly set mountains
- an
- أَن
- lest
- tamīda
- تَمِيدَ
- it (should) shake
- bihim
- بِهِمْ
- with them
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- and We made
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- fijājan
- فِجَاجًا
- broad passes
- subulan
- سُبُلًا
- (as) ways
- laʿallahum
- لَّعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yahtadūna
- يَهْتَدُونَ
- (be) guided
And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 31)Tafsir
وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاۤءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوْظًاۚ وَهُمْ عَنْ اٰيٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُوْنَ ٣٢
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- And We made
- l-samāa
- ٱلسَّمَآءَ
- the sky
- saqfan
- سَقْفًا
- a roof
- maḥfūẓan
- مَّحْفُوظًاۖ
- protected
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- But they
- ʿan
- عَنْ
- from
- āyātihā
- ءَايَٰتِهَا
- its Signs
- muʿ'riḍūna
- مُعْرِضُونَ
- turn away
And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 32)Tafsir
وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَۗ كُلٌّ فِيْ فَلَكٍ يَّسْبَحُوْنَ ٣٣
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (is) the One Who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- created
- al-layla
- ٱلَّيْلَ
- the night
- wal-nahāra
- وَٱلنَّهَارَ
- and the day
- wal-shamsa
- وَٱلشَّمْسَ
- and the sun
- wal-qamara
- وَٱلْقَمَرَۖ
- and the moon;
- kullun
- كُلٌّ
- each
- fī
- فِى
- in
- falakin
- فَلَكٍ
- an orbit
- yasbaḥūna
- يَسْبَحُونَ
- floating
And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 33)Tafsir
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَۗ اَفَا۟ىِٕنْ مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخٰلِدُوْنَ ٣٤
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- jaʿalnā
- جَعَلْنَا
- We made
- libasharin
- لِبَشَرٍ
- for any man
- min
- مِّن
- before you
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- l-khul'da
- ٱلْخُلْدَۖ
- [the] immortality
- afa-in
- أَفَإِي۟ن
- so if
- mitta
- مِّتَّ
- you die
- fahumu
- فَهُمُ
- then (would) they
- l-khālidūna
- ٱلْخَٰلِدُونَ
- live forever?
And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die – would they be eternal? (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 34)Tafsir
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ الْمَوْتِۗ وَنَبْلُوْكُمْ بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً ۗوَاِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ ٣٥
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- Every
- nafsin
- نَفْسٍ
- soul
- dhāiqatu
- ذَآئِقَةُ
- (will) taste
- l-mawti
- ٱلْمَوْتِۗ
- [the] death
- wanablūkum
- وَنَبْلُوكُم
- And We test you
- bil-shari
- بِٱلشَّرِّ
- with [the] bad
- wal-khayri
- وَٱلْخَيْرِ
- and [the] good
- fit'natan
- فِتْنَةًۖ
- (as) a trial;
- wa-ilaynā
- وَإِلَيْنَا
- and to Us
- tur'jaʿūna
- تُرْجَعُونَ
- you will be returned
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 35)Tafsir
وَاِذَا رَاٰكَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ يَّتَّخِذُوْنَكَ اِلَّا هُزُوًاۗ اَهٰذَا الَّذِيْ يَذْكُرُ اٰلِهَتَكُمْۚ وَهُمْ بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمٰنِ هُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ ٣٦
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- raāka
- رَءَاكَ
- you see
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوٓا۟
- disbelieve
- in
- إِن
- not
- yattakhidhūnaka
- يَتَّخِذُونَكَ
- they take you
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- huzuwan
- هُزُوًا
- (in) ridicule
- ahādhā
- أَهَٰذَا
- "Is this
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the one who
- yadhkuru
- يَذْكُرُ
- mentions
- ālihatakum
- ءَالِهَتَكُمْ
- your gods?"
- wahum
- وَهُم
- And they
- bidhik'ri
- بِذِكْرِ
- at (the) mention
- l-raḥmāni
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- (of) the Most Gracious
- hum
- هُمْ
- [they]
- kāfirūna
- كَٰفِرُونَ
- (are) disbelievers
And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who mentions [i.e., insults] your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 36)Tafsir
خُلِقَ الْاِنْسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍۗ سَاُورِيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِيْ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِ ٣٧
- khuliqa
- خُلِقَ
- Is created
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- the man
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- ʿajalin
- عَجَلٍۚ
- haste
- sa-urīkum
- سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ
- I will show you
- āyātī
- ءَايَٰتِى
- My Signs
- falā
- فَلَا
- so (do) not
- tastaʿjilūni
- تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
- ask Me to hasten
Man was created of haste [i.e., impatience]. I will show you My signs [i.e., vengeance], so do not impatiently urge Me. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 37)Tafsir
وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٣٨
- wayaqūlūna
- وَيَقُولُونَ
- And they say
- matā
- مَتَىٰ
- "When (will be fulfilled)
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- l-waʿdu
- ٱلْوَعْدُ
- promise
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ṣādiqīna
- صَٰدِقِينَ
- truthful?"
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 38)Tafsir
لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا حِيْنَ لَا يَكُفُّوْنَ عَنْ وُّجُوْهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَنْ ظُهُوْرِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُوْنَ ٣٩
- law
- لَوْ
- If
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knew
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- ḥīna
- حِينَ
- (the) time
- lā
- لَا
- (when) not
- yakuffūna
- يَكُفُّونَ
- they will avert
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- wujūhihimu
- وُجُوهِهِمُ
- their faces
- l-nāra
- ٱلنَّارَ
- the Fire
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- ẓuhūrihim
- ظُهُورِهِمْ
- their backs
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yunṣarūna
- يُنصَرُونَ
- will be helped!
If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided... (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 39)Tafsir
بَلْ تَأْتِيْهِمْ بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ ٤٠
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- tatīhim
- تَأْتِيهِم
- it will come to them
- baghtatan
- بَغْتَةً
- unexpectedly
- fatabhatuhum
- فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ
- and bewilder them
- falā
- فَلَا
- then not
- yastaṭīʿūna
- يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
- they will be able
- raddahā
- رَدَّهَا
- to repel it
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yunẓarūna
- يُنظَرُونَ
- will be given respite
Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 40)Tafsir
