bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim
1

الۤرٰ ۗ كِتٰبٌ اُحْكِمَتْ اٰيٰتُهٗ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِنْ لَّدُنْ حَكِيْمٍ خَبِيْرٍۙ ١

alif-lam-ra
الٓرۚ
Alif Lam Ra
kitābun
كِتَٰبٌ
(This is) a Book
uḥ'kimat
أُحْكِمَتْ
are perfected
āyātuhu
ءَايَٰتُهُۥ
its Verses
thumma
ثُمَّ
moreover
fuṣṣilat
فُصِّلَتْ
explained in detail
min
مِن
from (the One Who)
ladun
لَّدُنْ
from (the One Who)
ḥakīmin
حَكِيمٍ
(is) All-Wise
khabīrin
خَبِيرٍ
All-Aware
Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book whose verses are perfected and then presented in detail from [one who is] Wise and Aware (QS. [11] Hud: 1)
Tafsir

اَلَّا تَعْبُدُوْٓا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّنِيْ لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِيْرٌ وَّبَشِيْرٌۙ ٢

allā
أَلَّا
That Not
taʿbudū
تَعْبُدُوٓا۟
you worship
illā
إِلَّا
but
l-laha
ٱللَّهَۚ
Allah
innanī
إِنَّنِى
Indeed I am
lakum
لَكُم
to you
min'hu
مِّنْهُ
from Him
nadhīrun
نَذِيرٌ
a warner
wabashīrun
وَبَشِيرٌ
and a bearer of glad tidings"
[Through a messenger, saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings," (QS. [11] Hud: 2)
Tafsir
3

وَّاَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوْبُوْٓا اِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُمْ مَّتَاعًا حَسَنًا اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَّيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِيْ فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهٗ ۗوَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَبِيْرٍ ٣

wa-ani
وَأَنِ
And that
is'taghfirū
ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟
"Seek forgiveness
rabbakum
رَبَّكُمْ
(of) your Lord
thumma
ثُمَّ
and
tūbū
تُوبُوٓا۟
turn in repentance
ilayhi
إِلَيْهِ
to Him
yumattiʿ'kum
يُمَتِّعْكُم
He will let you
matāʿan
مَّتَٰعًا
enjoy
ḥasanan
حَسَنًا
a good
ilā
إِلَىٰٓ
for
ajalin
أَجَلٍ
a term
musamman
مُّسَمًّى
appointed
wayu'ti
وَيُؤْتِ
And give
kulla
كُلَّ
(to) every
dhī
ذِى
owner
faḍlin
فَضْلٍ
(of) grace
faḍlahu
فَضْلَهُۥۖ
His Grace
wa-in
وَإِن
But if
tawallaw
تَوَلَّوْا۟
you turn away
fa-innī
فَإِنِّىٓ
then indeed, I
akhāfu
أَخَافُ
fear
ʿalaykum
عَلَيْكُمْ
for you
ʿadhāba
عَذَابَ
(the) punishment
yawmin
يَوْمٍ
(of) a Great Day
kabīrin
كَبِيرٍ
(of) a Great Day
And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor [i.e., reward]. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day. (QS. [11] Hud: 3)
Tafsir

اِلَى اللّٰهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ۚوَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ٤

ilā
إِلَى
To
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
marjiʿukum
مَرْجِعُكُمْۖ
(is) your return
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
and He
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
kulli
كُلِّ
every
shayin
شَىْءٍ
thing
qadīrun
قَدِيرٌ
All-Powerful"
To Allah is your return, and He is over all things competent." (QS. [11] Hud: 4)
Tafsir

اَلَآ اِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُوْنَ صُدُوْرَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوْا مِنْهُۗ اَلَا حِيْنَ يَسْتَغْشُوْنَ ثِيَابَهُمْ ۙيَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّوْنَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُوْنَۚ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌ ۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ ۔ ٥

أَلَآ
No doubt!
innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
They
yathnūna
يَثْنُونَ
fold up
ṣudūrahum
صُدُورَهُمْ
their breasts
liyastakhfū
لِيَسْتَخْفُوا۟
that they may hide
min'hu
مِنْهُۚ
from Him
alā
أَلَا
Surely
ḥīna
حِينَ
when
yastaghshūna
يَسْتَغْشُونَ
they cover (themselves)
thiyābahum
ثِيَابَهُمْ
(with) their garments
yaʿlamu
يَعْلَمُ
He knows
مَا
what
yusirrūna
يُسِرُّونَ
they conceal
wamā
وَمَا
and what
yuʿ'linūna
يُعْلِنُونَۚ
they reveal
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He
ʿalīmun
عَلِيمٌۢ
(is) All-Knower
bidhāti
بِذَاتِ
of what
l-ṣudūri
ٱلصُّدُورِ
(is in) the breasts
Unquestionably, they [i.e., the disbelievers] turn away their breasts to hide themselves from him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves in their clothing, He [i.e., Allah] knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. (QS. [11] Hud: 5)

6

۞ وَمَا مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ فِى الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا عَلَى اللّٰهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا ۗ كُلٌّ فِيْ كِتٰبٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ٦

wamā
وَمَا
And not
min
مِن
any
dābbatin
دَآبَّةٍ
moving creature
فِى
in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
illā
إِلَّا
but
ʿalā
عَلَى
on
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
riz'quhā
رِزْقُهَا
(is) its provision
wayaʿlamu
وَيَعْلَمُ
And He knows
mus'taqarrahā
مُسْتَقَرَّهَا
its dwelling place
wamus'tawdaʿahā
وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَاۚ
and its place of storage
kullun
كُلٌّ
All
فِى
(is) in
kitābin
كِتَٰبٍ
a Record
mubīnin
مُّبِينٍ
clear
And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register. (QS. [11] Hud: 6)
Tafsir
7

وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ فِيْ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ وَّكَانَ عَرْشُهٗ عَلَى الْمَاۤءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ اَيُّكُمْ اَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۗوَلَىِٕنْ قُلْتَ اِنَّكُمْ مَّبْعُوْثُوْنَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُوْلَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٧

wahuwa
وَهُوَ
And He
alladhī
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
khalaqa
خَلَقَ
created
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
wal-arḍa
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the earth
فِى
in
sittati
سِتَّةِ
six
ayyāmin
أَيَّامٍ
epochs
wakāna
وَكَانَ
and His throne was
ʿarshuhu
عَرْشُهُۥ
and His throne was
ʿalā
عَلَى
on
l-māi
ٱلْمَآءِ
the water
liyabluwakum
لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ
that He might test [you]
ayyukum
أَيُّكُمْ
which of you
aḥsanu
أَحْسَنُ
(is) best
ʿamalan
عَمَلًاۗ
(in) deed
wala-in
وَلَئِن
But if
qul'ta
قُلْتَ
you say
innakum
إِنَّكُم
"Indeed, you
mabʿūthūna
مَّبْعُوثُونَ
(will be) resurrected
min
مِنۢ
after
baʿdi
بَعْدِ
after
l-mawti
ٱلْمَوْتِ
[the] death"
layaqūlanna
لَيَقُولَنَّ
surely would say
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوٓا۟
disbelieved
in
إِنْ
"This is not
hādhā
هَٰذَآ
"This is not
illā
إِلَّا
but
siḥ'run
سِحْرٌ
a magic
mubīnun
مُّبِينٌ
clear"
And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days – and His Throne had been upon water – that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed. But if you say, "Indeed, you are resurrected after death," those who disbelieve will surely say, "This is not but obvious magic." (QS. [11] Hud: 7)

8

وَلَىِٕنْ اَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ اِلٰٓى اُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُوْدَةٍ لَّيَقُوْلُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهٗ ۗ اَلَا يَوْمَ يَأْتِيْهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوْفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ࣖ ٨

wala-in
وَلَئِنْ
And if
akharnā
أَخَّرْنَا
We delay
ʿanhumu
عَنْهُمُ
from them
l-ʿadhāba
ٱلْعَذَابَ
the punishment
ilā
إِلَىٰٓ
for
ummatin
أُمَّةٍ
a time
maʿdūdatin
مَّعْدُودَةٍ
determined
layaqūlunna
لَّيَقُولُنَّ
they will surely say
مَا
"What
yaḥbisuhu
يَحْبِسُهُۥٓۗ
detains it?"
alā
أَلَا
No doubt!
yawma
يَوْمَ
(On) the Day
yatīhim
يَأْتِيهِمْ
it comes to them
laysa
لَيْسَ
not
maṣrūfan
مَصْرُوفًا
(will be) averted
ʿanhum
عَنْهُمْ
from them
waḥāqa
وَحَاقَ
and will surround
bihim
بِهِم
them
مَّا
what
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they used (to)
bihi
بِهِۦ
mock at [it]
yastahziūna
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
mock at [it]
And if We hold back from them the punishment for a limited time, they will surely say, "What detains it?" Unquestionably, on the Day it comes to them, it will not be averted from them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule. (QS. [11] Hud: 8)
Tafsir
9

وَلَىِٕنْ اَذَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنٰهَا مِنْهُۚ اِنَّهٗ لَيَـُٔوْسٌ كَفُوْرٌ ٩

wala-in
وَلَئِنْ
And if
adhaqnā
أَذَقْنَا
We give man a taste
l-insāna
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
We give man a taste
minnā
مِنَّا
(of) Mercy from Us
raḥmatan
رَحْمَةً
(of) Mercy from Us
thumma
ثُمَّ
then
nazaʿnāhā
نَزَعْنَٰهَا
We withdraw it
min'hu
مِنْهُ
from him
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed, he
layaūsun
لَيَـُٔوسٌ
(is) despairing
kafūrun
كَفُورٌ
(and) ungrateful
And if We give man a taste of mercy from Us and then We withdraw it from him, indeed, he is despairing and ungrateful. (QS. [11] Hud: 9)
Tafsir
10

وَلَىِٕنْ اَذَقْنٰهُ نَعْمَاۤءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّاۤءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُوْلَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّاٰتُ عَنِّيْ ۗاِنَّهٗ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُوْرٌۙ ١٠

wala-in
وَلَئِنْ
But if
adhaqnāhu
أَذَقْنَٰهُ
We give him a taste
naʿmāa
نَعْمَآءَ
(of) favor
baʿda
بَعْدَ
after
ḍarrāa
ضَرَّآءَ
hardship
massathu
مَسَّتْهُ
(has) touched him
layaqūlanna
لَيَقُولَنَّ
surely he will say
dhahaba
ذَهَبَ
"Have gone
l-sayiātu
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ
the evils
ʿannī
عَنِّىٓۚ
from me
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed he
lafariḥun
لَفَرِحٌ
(is) exultant
fakhūrun
فَخُورٌ
(and) boastful
But if We give him a taste of favor after hardship has touched him, he will surely say, "Bad times have left me." Indeed, he is exultant and boastful – (QS. [11] Hud: 10)
