۞ وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَاَ نُوْحٍۘ اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖ يٰقَوْمِ اِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَّقَامِيْ وَتَذْكِيْرِيْ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ فَعَلَى اللّٰهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَاَجْمِعُوْٓا اَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَاۤءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنْ اَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ اقْضُوْٓا اِلَيَّ وَلَا تُنْظِرُوْنِ ٧١
- wa-ut'lu
- وَٱتْلُ
- And recite
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- naba-a
- نَبَأَ
- the news
- nūḥin
- نُوحٍ
- (of) Nuh
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- qāla
- قَالَ
- he said
- liqawmihi
- لِقَوْمِهِۦ
- to his people
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- in
- إِن
- If
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- kabura
- كَبُرَ
- hard
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُم
- on you
- maqāmī
- مَّقَامِى
- my stay
- watadhkīrī
- وَتَذْكِيرِى
- and my reminding
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- the Signs of Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- the Signs of Allah
- faʿalā
- فَعَلَى
- then on
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- tawakkaltu
- تَوَكَّلْتُ
- I put my trust
- fa-ajmiʿū
- فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟
- So you all resolve
- amrakum
- أَمْرَكُمْ
- your plan
- washurakāakum
- وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ
- and your partners
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- lā
- لَا
- let not be
- yakun
- يَكُنْ
- let not be
- amrukum
- أَمْرُكُمْ
- (in) your plan
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- for you
- ghummatan
- غُمَّةً
- any doubt
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- iq'ḍū
- ٱقْضُوٓا۟
- carry (it out)
- ilayya
- إِلَىَّ
- upon me
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- tunẓirūni
- تُنظِرُونِ
- give me respite
And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, "O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you – then I have relied upon Allah. So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite. (QS. [10] Yunus: 71)Tafsir
فَاِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَاَلْتُكُمْ مِّنْ اَجْرٍۗ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۙوَاُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ ٧٢
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- But if
- tawallaytum
- تَوَلَّيْتُمْ
- you turn away
- famā
- فَمَا
- then not
- sa-altukum
- سَأَلْتُكُم
- I have asked you
- min
- مِّنْ
- any
- ajrin
- أَجْرٍۖ
- reward
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- ajriya
- أَجْرِىَ
- (is) my reward
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah
- wa-umir'tu
- وَأُمِرْتُ
- and I have been commanded
- an
- أَنْ
- that
- akūna
- أَكُونَ
- I be
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-mus'limīna
- ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
- the Muslims"
And if you turn away [from my advice] – then no payment have I asked of you. My reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims [i.e., those who submit to Allah]." (QS. [10] Yunus: 72)Tafsir
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَنَجَّيْنٰهُ وَمَنْ مَّعَهٗ فِى الْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ خَلٰۤىِٕفَ وَاَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَاۚ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ ٧٣
- fakadhabūhu
- فَكَذَّبُوهُ
- But they denied him
- fanajjaynāhu
- فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ
- so We saved him
- waman
- وَمَن
- and (those) who
- maʿahu
- مَّعَهُۥ
- (were) with him
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ful'ki
- ٱلْفُلْكِ
- the ship
- wajaʿalnāhum
- وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ
- and We made them
- khalāifa
- خَلَٰٓئِفَ
- successors
- wa-aghraqnā
- وَأَغْرَقْنَا
- and We drowned
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۖ
- Our Signs
- fa-unẓur
- فَٱنظُرْ
- Then see
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- l-mundharīna
- ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
- (of) those who were warned
And they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship and made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Then see how was the end of those who were warned. (QS. [10] Yunus: 73)Tafsir
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ رُسُلًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاۤءُوْهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوْا لِيُؤْمِنُوْا بِمَا كَذَّبُوْا بِهٖ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗ كَذٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِ الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ ٧٤
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- baʿathnā
- بَعَثْنَا
- We sent
- min
- مِنۢ
- after him
- baʿdihi
- بَعْدِهِۦ
- after him
- rusulan
- رُسُلًا
- Messengers
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- qawmihim
- قَوْمِهِمْ
- their people
- fajāūhum
- فَجَآءُوهُم
- and they came to them
- bil-bayināti
- بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
- with clear proofs
- famā
- فَمَا
- But not
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- liyu'minū
- لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟
- to believe
- bimā
- بِمَا
- what
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- they had denied
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [it]
- min
- مِن
- before
- qablu
- قَبْلُۚ
- before
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- naṭbaʿu
- نَطْبَعُ
- We seal
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- [on]
- qulūbi
- قُلُوبِ
- the hearts
- l-muʿ'tadīna
- ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
- (of) the transgressors
Then We sent after him messengers to their peoples, and they came to them with clear proofs. But they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus We seal over the hearts of the transgressors. (QS. [10] Yunus: 74)Tafsir
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ مُّوْسٰى وَهٰرُوْنَ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖ بِاٰيٰتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِيْنَ ٧٥
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- baʿathnā
- بَعَثْنَا
- We sent
- min
- مِنۢ
- after them
- baʿdihim
- بَعْدِهِم
- after them
- mūsā
- مُّوسَىٰ
- Musa
- wahārūna
- وَهَٰرُونَ
- and Harun
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ihi
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
- and his chiefs
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- with Our Signs
- fa-is'takbarū
- فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
- but they were arrogant
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and were
- qawman
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- muj'rimīna
- مُّجْرِمِينَ
- criminal
Then We sent after them Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his establishment with Our signs, but they behaved arrogantly and were a criminal people. (QS. [10] Yunus: 75)Tafsir
فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوْٓا اِنَّ هٰذَا لَسِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٧٦
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- jāahumu
- جَآءَهُمُ
- came to them
- l-ḥaqu
- ٱلْحَقُّ
- the truth
- min
- مِنْ
- from Us
- ʿindinā
- عِندِنَا
- from Us
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they said
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- lasiḥ'run
- لَسِحْرٌ
- (is) surely, a magic
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear"
So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, "Indeed, this is obvious magic." (QS. [10] Yunus: 76)Tafsir
قَالَ مُوْسٰٓى اَتَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَكُمْ ۗ اَسِحْرٌ هٰذَاۗ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُوْنَ ٧٧
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Musa said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰٓ
- Musa said
- ataqūlūna
- أَتَقُولُونَ
- "Do you say
- lil'ḥaqqi
- لِلْحَقِّ
- about the truth
- lammā
- لَمَّا
- when
- jāakum
- جَآءَكُمْۖ
- it has come to you?
- asiḥ'run
- أَسِحْرٌ
- Is this magic?
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- Is this magic?
- walā
- وَلَا
- But (will) not
- yuf'liḥu
- يُفْلِحُ
- succeed
- l-sāḥirūna
- ٱلسَّٰحِرُونَ
- the magicians"
Moses said, "Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed." (QS. [10] Yunus: 77)Tafsir
قَالُوْٓا اَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ اٰبَاۤءَنَا وَتَكُوْنَ لَكُمَا الْكِبْرِيَاۤءُ فِى الْاَرْضِۗ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٧٨
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- They said
- aji'tanā
- أَجِئْتَنَا
- "Have you come to us
- litalfitanā
- لِتَلْفِتَنَا
- to turn us away
- ʿammā
- عَمَّا
- from that
- wajadnā
- وَجَدْنَا
- we found
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- on it
- ābāanā
- ءَابَآءَنَا
- our forefathers
- watakūna
- وَتَكُونَ
- and you two (may) have
- lakumā
- لَكُمَا
- and you two (may) have
- l-kib'riyāu
- ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ
- the greatness
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the land?
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And we (are) not
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- And we (are) not
- lakumā
- لَكُمَا
- (in) you two
- bimu'minīna
- بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
- believers"
They said, "Have you come to us to turn us away from that upon which we found our fathers and so that you two may have grandeur in the land? And we are not believers in you." (QS. [10] Yunus: 78)Tafsir
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ائْتُوْنِيْ بِكُلِّ سٰحِرٍ عَلِيْمٍ ٧٩
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And Firaun said
- fir'ʿawnu
- فِرْعَوْنُ
- And Firaun said
- i'tūnī
- ٱئْتُونِى
- "Bring to me
- bikulli
- بِكُلِّ
- every
- sāḥirin
- سَٰحِرٍ
- magician
- ʿalīmin
- عَلِيمٍ
- learned"
And Pharaoh said, "Bring to me every learned magician." (QS. [10] Yunus: 79)Tafsir
فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُمْ مُّوْسٰٓى اَلْقُوْا مَآ اَنْتُمْ مُّلْقُوْنَ ٨٠
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- l-saḥaratu
- ٱلسَّحَرَةُ
- the magicians
- qāla
- قَالَ
- said
- lahum
- لَهُم
- to them
- mūsā
- مُّوسَىٰٓ
- Musa
- alqū
- أَلْقُوا۟
- "Throw
- mā
- مَآ
- whatever
- antum
- أَنتُم
- you
- mul'qūna
- مُّلْقُونَ
- (wish to) throw"
So when the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Throw down whatever you will throw." (QS. [10] Yunus: 80)Tafsir
