(The Earthquake)

bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim
1

اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَاۙ ١

idhā
إِذَا
When
zul'zilati
زُلْزِلَتِ
is shaken
l-arḍu
ٱلْأَرْضُ
the earth
zil'zālahā
زِلْزَالَهَا
with its earthquake
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake . (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 1)

وَاَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَاۙ ٢

wa-akhrajati
وَأَخْرَجَتِ
And brings forth
l-arḍu
ٱلْأَرْضُ
the earth
athqālahā
أَثْقَالَهَا
its burdens
And the earth discharges its burdens (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 2)

وَقَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَاۚ ٣

waqāla
وَقَالَ
And says
l-insānu
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
man
مَا
"What
lahā
لَهَا
(is) with it?"
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 3)

يَوْمَىِٕذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَاۙ ٤

yawma-idhin
يَوْمَئِذٍ
That Day
tuḥaddithu
تُحَدِّثُ
it will report
akhbārahā
أَخْبَارَهَا
its news
That Day, it will report its news (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 4)

بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰى لَهَاۗ ٥

bi-anna
بِأَنَّ
Because
rabbaka
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
awḥā
أَوْحَىٰ
inspired
lahā
لَهَا
[to] it
Because your Lord has inspired [i.e., commanded] it. (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 5)

يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًا ەۙ لِّيُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْۗ ٦

yawma-idhin
يَوْمَئِذٍ
That Day
yaṣduru
يَصْدُرُ
will proceed
l-nāsu
ٱلنَّاسُ
the mankind
ashtātan
أَشْتَاتًا
(in) scattered groups
liyuraw
لِّيُرَوْا۟
to be shown
aʿmālahum
أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
their deeds
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 6)

فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗۚ ٧

faman
فَمَن
So whoever
yaʿmal
يَعْمَلْ
does
mith'qāla
مِثْقَالَ
(equal to the) weight
dharratin
ذَرَّةٍ
(of) an atom
khayran
خَيْرًا
good
yarahu
يَرَهُۥ
will see it
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 7)

وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ ࣖ ٨

waman
وَمَن
And whoever
yaʿmal
يَعْمَلْ
does
mith'qāla
مِثْقَالَ
(equal to the) weight
dharratin
ذَرَّةٍ
(of) an atom
sharran
شَرًّا
evil
yarahu
يَرَهُۥ
will see it
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. (QS. [99] Az-Zalzalah: 8)
