Surah At-Tin - Word by Word
(The Fig)
1
وَالتِّيْنِ وَالزَّيْتُوْنِۙ ١
- wal-tīni
- وَٱلتِّينِ
- By the fig
- wal-zaytūni
- وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ
- and the olive
By the fig and the olive (QS. [95] At-Tin: 1)Tafsir
2
وَطُوْرِ سِيْنِيْنَۙ ٢
- waṭūri
- وَطُورِ
- And (the) Mount
- sīnīna
- سِينِينَ
- Sinai
And [by] Mount Sinai . (QS. [95] At-Tin: 2)Tafsir
3
وَهٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْاَمِيْنِۙ ٣
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- And this
- l-baladi
- ٱلْبَلَدِ
- [the] city
- l-amīni
- ٱلْأَمِينِ
- [the] secure
And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah], (QS. [95] At-Tin: 3)Tafsir
4
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ فِيْٓ اَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيْمٍۖ ٤
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- Indeed
- khalaqnā
- خَلَقْنَا
- We created
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- man
- fī
- فِىٓ
- in
- aḥsani
- أَحْسَنِ
- (the) best
- taqwīmin
- تَقْوِيمٍ
- mould
We have certainly created man in the best of stature; (QS. [95] At-Tin: 4)Tafsir
5
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنٰهُ اَسْفَلَ سَافِلِيْنَۙ ٥
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- radadnāhu
- رَدَدْنَٰهُ
- We return him
- asfala
- أَسْفَلَ
- (to the) lowest
- sāfilīna
- سَٰفِلِينَ
- (of the) low
Then We return him to the lowest of the low, (QS. [95] At-Tin: 5)Tafsir
6
اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍۗ ٦
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and do
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- righteous deeds
- falahum
- فَلَهُمْ
- then for them
- ajrun
- أَجْرٌ
- (is a) reward
- ghayru
- غَيْرُ
- never
- mamnūnin
- مَمْنُونٍ
- ending
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted. (QS. [95] At-Tin: 6)Tafsir
7
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّيْنِۗ ٧
- famā
- فَمَا
- Then what
- yukadhibuka
- يُكَذِّبُكَ
- causes you to deny
- baʿdu
- بَعْدُ
- after (this)
- bil-dīni
- بِٱلدِّينِ
- the judgment?
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense? (QS. [95] At-Tin: 7)Tafsir
8
اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِاَحْكَمِ الْحٰكِمِيْنَ ࣖ ٨
- alaysa
- أَلَيْسَ
- Is not
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- bi-aḥkami
- بِأَحْكَمِ
- (the) Most Just
- l-ḥākimīna
- ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
- (of) the Judges?
Is not Allah the most just of judges? (QS. [95] At-Tin: 8)Tafsir
