Ash-Sharh [94]: 3 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

الَّذِيْٓ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَۙ (الشرح : ٩٤)

ٱلَّذِىٓ
Which
anqaḍa
أَنقَضَ
weighed upon
ẓahraka
ظَهْرَكَ
your back

Transliteration:

Allazee anqada zahrak (QS. aš-Šarḥ:3)

English / Sahih Translation:

Which had weighed upon your back . (QS. Ash-Sharh, ayah 3)

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

Which weighed down your back.
Al-Inqad means the sound.

And more than one of the Salaf has said concerning Allah's saying,
الَّذِى أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ
meaning,

`its burden weighed heavy upon you.'

Then Allh says,

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ
