11
وَمَا يُغْنِيْ عَنْهُ مَالُهٗٓ اِذَا تَرَدّٰىٓۙ ١١
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yugh'nī
- يُغْنِى
- will avail
- ʿanhu
- عَنْهُ
- him
- māluhu
- مَالُهُۥٓ
- his wealth
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- taraddā
- تَرَدَّىٰٓ
- he falls
And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 11)Tafsir
12
اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدٰىۖ ١٢
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- upon Us
- lalhudā
- لَلْهُدَىٰ
- (is) the guidance
Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 12)Tafsir
13
وَاِنَّ لَنَا لَلْاٰخِرَةَ وَالْاُوْلٰىۗ ١٣
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for Us
- lalākhirata
- لَلْءَاخِرَةَ
- (is) the Hereafter
- wal-ūlā
- وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
- and the first (life)
And indeed, to us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 13)Tafsir
14
فَاَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظّٰىۚ ١٤
- fa-andhartukum
- فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ
- So I warn you
- nāran
- نَارًا
- (of) a Fire
- talaẓẓā
- تَلَظَّىٰ
- blazing
So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 14)Tafsir
15
لَا يَصْلٰىهَآ اِلَّا الْاَشْقَىۙ ١٥
- lā
- لَا
- Not
- yaṣlāhā
- يَصْلَىٰهَآ
- will burn (in) it
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-ashqā
- ٱلْأَشْقَى
- the most wretched
None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 15)Tafsir
16
الَّذِيْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىۗ ١٦
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- The one who
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- denied
- watawallā
- وَتَوَلَّىٰ
- and turned away
Who had denied and turned away. (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 16)Tafsir
17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْاَتْقَىۙ ١٧
- wasayujannabuhā
- وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا
- But will be removed from it
- l-atqā
- ٱلْأَتْقَى
- the righteous
But the righteous one will avoid it . (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 17)Tafsir
18
الَّذِيْ يُؤْتِيْ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰىۚ ١٨
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- The one who
- yu'tī
- يُؤْتِى
- gives
- mālahu
- مَالَهُۥ
- his wealth
- yatazakkā
- يَتَزَكَّىٰ
- purifying himself
[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 18)Tafsir
19
وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنْدَهٗ مِنْ نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزٰىٓۙ ١٩
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- li-aḥadin
- لِأَحَدٍ
- for anyone
- ʿindahu
- عِندَهُۥ
- with him
- min
- مِن
- any
- niʿ'matin
- نِّعْمَةٍ
- favor
- tuj'zā
- تُجْزَىٰٓ
- to be recompensed
And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 19)Tafsir
20
اِلَّا ابْتِغَاۤءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْاَعْلٰىۚ ٢٠
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- ib'tighāa
- ٱبْتِغَآءَ
- seeking
- wajhi
- وَجْهِ
- (the) Countenance
- rabbihi
- رَبِّهِ
- (of) his Lord
- l-aʿlā
- ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
- the Most High
But only seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of his Lord, Most High. (QS. [92] Al-Layl: 20)Tafsir
