كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِطَغْوٰىهَآ ۖ ١١
- kadhabat

- بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ
- by their transgression
Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression, (QS. [91] Ash-Shams: 11)Tafsir
12
اِذِ انْۢبَعَثَ اَشْقٰىهَاۖ ١٢
- idhi
- إِذِ
- When
- inbaʿatha
- ٱنۢبَعَثَ
- (was) sent forth
- ashqāhā
- أَشْقَىٰهَا
- (the) most wicked of them
When the most wretched of them was sent forth. (QS. [91] Ash-Shams: 12)Tafsir
13
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقْيٰهَاۗ ١٣
- faqāla
- فَقَالَ
- But said
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- to them
- rasūlu
- رَسُولُ
- (the) Messenger
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- nāqata
- نَاقَةَ
- "(It is the) she-camel
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wasuq'yāhā
- وَسُقْيَٰهَا
- and her drink"
And the messenger of Allah [i.e., Saleh] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink." (QS. [91] Ash-Shams: 13)Tafsir
14
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَعَقَرُوْهَاۖ فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰىهَاۖ ١٤
- fakadhabūhu
- فَكَذَّبُوهُ
- But they denied him
- faʿaqarūhā
- فَعَقَرُوهَا
- and they hamstrung her
- fadamdama
- فَدَمْدَمَ
- So destroyed
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- them
- rabbuhum
- رَبُّهُم
- their Lord
- bidhanbihim
- بِذَنۢبِهِمْ
- for their sin
- fasawwāhā
- فَسَوَّىٰهَا
- and leveled them
But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]. (QS. [91] Ash-Shams: 14)Tafsir
15
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبٰهَا ࣖ ١٥
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yakhāfu
- يَخَافُ
- He fears
- ʿuq'bāhā
- عُقْبَٰهَا
- its consequences
And He does not fear the consequence thereof. (QS. [91] Ash-Shams: 15)Tafsir
