Al-Qur'an Surah At-Tawbah Verse 76

At-Tawbah [9]: 76 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

فَلَمَّآ اٰتٰىهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖ بَخِلُوْا بِهٖ وَتَوَلَّوْا وَّهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ (التوبة : ٩)

falammā
فَلَمَّآ
But when
ātāhum
ءَاتَىٰهُم
He gave them
min
مِّن
of
faḍlihi
فَضْلِهِۦ
His Bounty
bakhilū
بَخِلُوا۟
they became stingy
bihi
بِهِۦ
with it
watawallaw
وَتَوَلَّوا۟
and turned away
wahum
وَّهُم
while they
muʿ'riḍūna
مُّعْرِضُونَ
(were) averse

Transliteration:

Falammaaa aataahum min fadlihee bakhiloo bihee wa tawallaw wa hum mu'ridoon (QS. at-Tawbah:76)

English / Sahih Translation:

But when He gave them from His bounty, they were stingy with it and turned away while they refused. (QS. At-Tawbah, ayah 76)

But when He gave them (wealth) out of His grace, they became stingy about it, and went back turning their faces away.
