Al-Qur'an Surah At-Tawbah Verse 63
At-Tawbah [9]: 63 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّهٗ مَنْ يُّحَادِدِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَاَنَّ لَهٗ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيْهَاۗ ذٰلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيْمُ (التوبة : ٩)

- أَلَمْ
- Do not
- yaʿlamū
- يَعْلَمُوٓا۟
- they know
- annahu
- أَنَّهُۥ
- that he
- man
- مَن
- who
- yuḥādidi
- يُحَادِدِ
- opposes
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ

- warasūlahu
- وَرَسُولَهُۥ
- and His Messenger

- (is the) Fire

- l-khiz'yu
- ٱلْخِزْىُ
- (is) the disgrace

- ٱلْعَظِيمُ

Transliteration:
Alam ya'lamooo annahoo mai yuhaadidillaaha wa Rasoolahoo faanna lahoo Naara jahannama khaalidan feehaa; zaalikal khizyul 'Azeem(QS. at-Tawbah:63)
English / Sahih Translation:
Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger – that for him is the fire of Hell, wherein he will abide eternally? That is the great disgrace. (QS. At-Tawbah, ayah 63)

Have they not come to know that whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, definite for him is the fire of Jahannam (Hell) wherein he will remain forever. That is the extreme disgrace.

Do they not know that, the fact is that, whoever opposes God and His Messenger, for him shall be the fire of Hell, as a requital, to abide therein? That is the great abasement.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُواْ أَنَّهُ مَن يُحَادِدِ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
Know they not that whoever opposes and shows hostility to Allah and His Messenger,
means, have they not come to know and realize that those who defy, oppose, wage war and reject Allah, thus becoming on one side while Allah and His Messenger on another side,
فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيهَا
certainly for him will be the fire of Hell to abide therein,
in a humiliating torment,
ذَلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ
That is the extreme disgrace.
that is the greatest disgrace and the tremendous misery
