وَالْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتُ بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلِيَاۤءُ بَعْضٍۘ يَأْمُرُوْنَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُقِيْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَيُطِيْعُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ ۗاُولٰۤىِٕكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ ٧١
- wal-mu'minūna
- وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
- And the believing men
- wal-mu'minātu
- وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ
- and the believing women
- baʿḍuhum
- بَعْضُهُمْ
- some of them
- awliyāu
- أَوْلِيَآءُ
- (are) allies
- baʿḍin
- بَعْضٍۚ
- (of) others
- yamurūna
- يَأْمُرُونَ
- They enjoin
- bil-maʿrūfi
- بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
- the right
- wayanhawna
- وَيَنْهَوْنَ
- and forbid
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- from
- l-munkari
- ٱلْمُنكَرِ
- the wrong
- wayuqīmūna
- وَيُقِيمُونَ
- and they establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- wayu'tūna
- وَيُؤْتُونَ
- and give
- l-zakata
- ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
- the zakah
- wayuṭīʿūna
- وَيُطِيعُونَ
- and they obey
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- warasūlahu
- وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ
- and His Messenger
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- sayarḥamuhumu
- سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ
- Allah will have mercy on them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۗ
- Allah will have mercy on them
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿazīzun
- عَزِيزٌ
- (is) All-Mighty
- ḥakīmun
- حَكِيمٌ
- All-Wise
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give Zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those – Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 71)Tafsir
وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا وَمَسٰكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِيْ جَنّٰتِ عَدْنٍ ۗوَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ اَكْبَرُ ۗذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيْمُ ࣖ ٧٢
- waʿada
- وَعَدَ
- (Has been) promised
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (by) Allah
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- (to) the believing men
- wal-mu'mināti
- وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ
- and the believing women
- jannātin
- جَنَّٰتٍ
- Gardens
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- flow
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihā
- تَحْتِهَا
- underneath it
- l-anhāru
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
- the rivers
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- (will) abide forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- wamasākina
- وَمَسَٰكِنَ
- and dwellings
- ṭayyibatan
- طَيِّبَةً
- blessed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- jannāti
- جَنَّٰتِ
- Gardens
- ʿadnin
- عَدْنٍۚ
- (of) everlasting bliss
- wariḍ'wānun
- وَرِضْوَٰنٌ
- But the pleasure
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- akbaru
- أَكْبَرُۚ
- (is) greater
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- huwa
- هُوَ
- it
- l-fawzu
- ٱلْفَوْزُ
- (is) the success
- l-ʿaẓīmu
- ٱلْعَظِيمُ
- great
Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater. It is that which is the great attainment. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 72)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗوَمَأْوٰىهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ ٧٣
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O Prophet!
- l-nabiyu
- ٱلنَّبِىُّ
- O Prophet!
- jāhidi
- جَٰهِدِ
- Strive (against)
- l-kufāra
- ٱلْكُفَّارَ
- the disbelievers
- wal-munāfiqīna
- وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ
- and the hypocrites
- wa-ugh'luẓ
- وَٱغْلُظْ
- and be stern
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْۚ
- with them
- wamawāhum
- وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ
- And their abode
- jahannamu
- جَهَنَّمُۖ
- (is) Hell
- wabi'sa
- وَبِئْسَ
- and wretched
- l-maṣīru
- ٱلْمَصِيرُ
- (is) the destination
O Prophet, fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 73)Tafsir
يَحْلِفُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ مَا قَالُوْا ۗوَلَقَدْ قَالُوْا كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوْا بَعْدَ اِسْلَامِهِمْ وَهَمُّوْا بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوْاۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوْٓا اِلَّآ اَنْ اَغْنٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ ۚفَاِنْ يَّتُوْبُوْا يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ ۚوَاِنْ يَّتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللّٰهُ عَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ ۚوَمَا لَهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا نَصِيْرٍ ٧٤
- yaḥlifūna
- يَحْلِفُونَ
- They swear
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- by Allah
- mā
- مَا
- (that) they said nothing
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- (that) they said nothing
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- while certainly
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- kalimata
- كَلِمَةَ
- (the) word
- l-kuf'ri
- ٱلْكُفْرِ
- (of) the disbelief
- wakafarū
- وَكَفَرُوا۟
- and disbelieved
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- is'lāmihim
- إِسْلَٰمِهِمْ
- their (pretense of) Islam
- wahammū
- وَهَمُّوا۟
- and planned
- bimā
- بِمَا
- [of] what
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yanālū
- يَنَالُوا۟ۚ
- they could attain
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- naqamū
- نَقَمُوٓا۟
- they were resentful
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَنْ
- that
- aghnāhumu
- أَغْنَىٰهُمُ
- Allah had enriched them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah had enriched them
- warasūluhu
- وَرَسُولُهُۥ
- and His Messenger
- min
- مِن
- of
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦۚ
- His Bounty
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- So if
- yatūbū
- يَتُوبُوا۟
- they repent
- yaku
- يَكُ
- it is
- khayran
- خَيْرًا
- better
- lahum
- لَّهُمْۖ
- for them
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- and if
- yatawallaw
- يَتَوَلَّوْا۟
- they turn away
- yuʿadhib'humu
- يُعَذِّبْهُمُ
- Allah will punish them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah will punish them
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- (with) a punishment
- alīman
- أَلِيمًا
- painful
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- the world
- wal-ākhirati
- وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِۚ
- and (in) the Hereafter
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- min
- مِن
- [of]
- waliyyin
- وَلِىٍّ
- any protector
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- naṣīrin
- نَصِيرٍ
- any helper
They swear by Allah that they did not say [anything against the Prophet (^)] while they had said the word of disbelief and disbelieved after their [pretense of] IsLam and planned that which they were not to attain. And they were not resentful except [for the fact] that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty. So if they repent, it is better for them; but if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And there will not be for them on earth any protector or helper. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 74)Tafsir
۞ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ عٰهَدَ اللّٰهَ لَىِٕنْ اٰتٰىنَا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ ٧٥
- wamin'hum
- وَمِنْهُم
- And among them
- man
- مَّنْ
- (is he) who
- ʿāhada
- عَٰهَدَ
- made a covenant
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- (with) Allah
- la-in
- لَئِنْ
- "If
- ātānā
- ءَاتَىٰنَا
- He gives us
- min
- مِن
- of
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦ
- His bounty
- lanaṣṣaddaqanna
- لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ
- surely we will give charity
- walanakūnanna
- وَلَنَكُونَنَّ
- and surely we will be
- mina
- مِنَ
- among
- l-ṣāliḥīna
- ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
- the righteous"
And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah, [saying], "If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity, and we will surely be among the righteous." (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 75)Tafsir
فَلَمَّآ اٰتٰىهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖ بَخِلُوْا بِهٖ وَتَوَلَّوْا وَّهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ٧٦
- falammā
- فَلَمَّآ
- But when
- ātāhum
- ءَاتَىٰهُم
- He gave them
- min
- مِّن
- of
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦ
- His Bounty
- bakhilū
- بَخِلُوا۟
- they became stingy
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with it
- watawallaw
- وَتَوَلَّوا۟
- and turned away
- wahum
- وَّهُم
- while they
- muʿ'riḍūna
- مُّعْرِضُونَ
- (were) averse
But when He gave them from His bounty, they were stingy with it and turned away while they refused. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 76)Tafsir
فَاَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهٗ بِمَآ اَخْلَفُوا اللّٰهَ مَا وَعَدُوْهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْذِبُوْنَ ٧٧
- fa-aʿqabahum
- فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ
- So He penalized them
- nifāqan
- نِفَاقًا
- (with) hypocrisy
- fī
- فِى
- in
- qulūbihim
- قُلُوبِهِمْ
- their hearts
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- until
- yawmi
- يَوْمِ
- the day
- yalqawnahu
- يَلْقَوْنَهُۥ
- when they will meet Him
- bimā
- بِمَآ
- because
- akhlafū
- أَخْلَفُوا۟
- they broke
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- (the covenant) with Allah
- mā
- مَا
- what
- waʿadūhu
- وَعَدُوهُ
- they had promised Him
- wabimā
- وَبِمَا
- and because
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yakdhibūna
- يَكْذِبُونَ
- lie
So He penalized them with hypocrisy in their hearts until the Day they will meet Him – because they failed Allah in what they promised Him and because they [habitually] used to lie. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 77)Tafsir
اَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوٰىهُمْ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوْبِ ٧٨
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Do not
- yaʿlamū
- يَعْلَمُوٓا۟
- they know
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knows
- sirrahum
- سِرَّهُمْ
- their secret
- wanajwāhum
- وَنَجْوَىٰهُمْ
- and their secret conversation
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- and that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿallāmu
- عَلَّٰمُ
- (is) All-Knower
- l-ghuyūbi
- ٱلْغُيُوبِ
- (of) the unseen?
Did they not know that Allah knows their secrets and their private conversations and that Allah is the Knower of the unseen? (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 78)Tafsir
اَلَّذِيْنَ يَلْمِزُوْنَ الْمُطَّوِّعِيْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ فِى الصَّدَقٰتِ وَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يَجِدُوْنَ اِلَّا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُوْنَ مِنْهُمْ ۗسَخِرَ اللّٰهُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ٧٩
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- yalmizūna
- يَلْمِزُونَ
- criticize
- l-muṭawiʿīna
- ٱلْمُطَّوِّعِينَ
- the ones who give willingly
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
- fī
- فِى
- concerning
- l-ṣadaqāti
- ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ
- the charities
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yajidūna
- يَجِدُونَ
- find
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- juh'dahum
- جُهْدَهُمْ
- their effort
- fayaskharūna
- فَيَسْخَرُونَ
- so they ridicule
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْۙ
- them
- sakhira
- سَخِرَ
- Allah will ridicule
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah will ridicule
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- them
- walahum
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- alīmun
- أَلِيمٌ
- painful
Those who criticize the contributors among the believers concerning [their] charities and [criticize] the ones who find nothing [to spend] except their effort, so they ridicule them – Allah will ridicule them, and they will have a painful punishment. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 79)Tafsir
اِسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ اَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْۗ اِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِيْنَ مَرَّةً فَلَنْ يَّغْفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْ ۗذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖۗ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِيْنَ ࣖ ٨٠
- is'taghfir
- ٱسْتَغْفِرْ
- Ask forgiveness
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- tastaghfir
- تَسْتَغْفِرْ
- ask forgiveness
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- in
- إِن
- If
- tastaghfir
- تَسْتَغْفِرْ
- you ask forgiveness
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- sabʿīna
- سَبْعِينَ
- seventy
- marratan
- مَرَّةً
- times
- falan
- فَلَن
- never
- yaghfira
- يَغْفِرَ
- will Allah forgive
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- will Allah forgive
- lahum
- لَهُمْۚ
- [for] them
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bi-annahum
- بِأَنَّهُمْ
- (is) because they
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- warasūlihi
- وَرَسُولِهِۦۗ
- and His Messenger
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- and Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- l-qawma
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people
- l-fāsiqīna
- ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
- the defiantly disobedient
Ask forgiveness for them, [O Muhammad], or do not ask forgiveness for them. If you should ask forgiveness for them seventy times – never will Allah forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. (QS. [9] At-Tawbah: 80)Tafsir
