Al-Fajr [89]: 4 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَسْرِۚ (الفجر : ٨٩)
- wa-al-layli
- وَٱلَّيْلِ
- And the night
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- yasri
- يَسْرِ
- it passes
Transliteration:
Wallaili izaa yasr(QS. al-Fajr:4)
English / Sahih Translation:
And [by] the night when it passes, (QS. Al-Fajr, ayah 4)

Mujahid, Abu Al-`Aliyah, Qatadah, and Malik who reported it from Zayd bin Aslam and Ibn Zayd, they all said;
"When it moves along."
Concerning Allah's statement,
هَلْ فِي ذَلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِي حِجْرٍ
