Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Fajr Verse 26
Al-Fajr [89]: 26 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَّلَا يُوْثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗٓ اَحَدٌ ۗ (الفجر : ٨٩)
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yūthiqu
- يُوثِقُ
- will bind
- wathāqahu
- وَثَاقَهُۥٓ
- (as) His binding
- aḥadun
- أَحَدٌ
- anyone
Transliteration:
Wa laa yoosiqu wasaaqa hooo ahad(QS. al-Fajr:26)
English / Sahih Translation:
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]. (QS. Al-Fajr, ayah 26)

Tafsir jalalayn
and, likewise, none shall bind (read ythiqu) His bind (a variant reading has yu`adhdhabu, `[none] shall be chastised', and ythaqu, `[none] shall be bound', so that the [suffixed] pronoun of `adhbahu and wathqahu refers to the [chastisement and the binds of the] disbeliever, the meaning then being, `none shall be chastised as he shall, and none shall be bound as he shall [be bound]').
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
And none will bind as He will bind.
meaning, there is no one who is more severely punished and bound than those the Az-Zabaniyah punish the disbelievers in their Lord.
This is for the criminals and the wrongdoers among the creatures.
In reference to the pure and tranquil soul -- which is always at rest and abiding by the truth it will be said to it,
يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَيِنَّةُ
