Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Fajr Verse 21

Al-Fajr [89]: 21 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

كَلَّآ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاۙ (الفجر : ٨٩)

Nay!

(and) crushed

Transliteration:

Kallaaa izaaa dukkatil ardu dakkan dakka (QS. al-Fajr:21)

English / Sahih Translation:

No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed (QS. Al-Fajr, ayah 21)

No indeed! -- a deterrent for them from such [conduct]. When the earth is pulverised repeatedly, when it is shaken until every edifice has collapsed and is destroyed,

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

On the Day of Judgement Everyone will be recompensed according to what He did of Good or Evil

Allah informs of what will happen on the Day of Judgement of the great horrors. He says,

كَلَّ


Nay!

meaning, truly.

إِذَا دُكَّتِ الاَْرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا



When the earth is flatened, Dakkan Dakka.

meaning, the earth and the mountains will be flattened, leveled and made even, and the creatures will rise from their graves for their Lord.

وَجَاء رَبُّكَ
