Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Fajr Verse 15
Al-Fajr [89]: 15 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكْرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّيْٓ اَكْرَمَنِۗ (الفجر : ٨٩)
- fa-ammā
- فَأَمَّا
- And as for
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- man
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- mā
- مَا
- does
- ib'talāhu
- ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ
- try him
- rabbuhu
- رَبُّهُۥ
- his Lord
- fa-akramahu
- فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ
- and is generous to him
- wanaʿʿamahu
- وَنَعَّمَهُۥ
- and favors him
- fayaqūlu
- فَيَقُولُ
- he says
- rabbī
- رَبِّىٓ
- "My Lord
- akramani
- أَكْرَمَنِ
- has honored me"
Transliteration:
Fa ammal insaanu izaa mab talaahu Rabbuhoo fa akramahoo wa na' 'amahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee akraman(QS. al-Fajr:15)
English / Sahih Translation:
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." (QS. Al-Fajr, ayah 15)

As for man, when his Lord tests him, and thus gives him honour and bounties, he says, “My Lord has honoured me.”

So but the human/mankind when as long as his Lord tested him, so he honoured him and He blessed/comforted and eased him , so he says: "My Lord honored me."

And as for man, the disbeliever, whenever his Lord tests him and honours him, with wealth and other things, and is gracious to him, he says, `My Lord has honoured me'.

Wealth and Poverty are both a Test and Honor or Disgrace for the Servant
فَأَمَّا الاْأِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَأهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ
وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَأهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ
