كَلَّآ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاۙ ٢١
- kallā
- كَلَّآ
- Nay!
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- dukkati
- دُكَّتِ
- is leveled
- l-arḍu
- ٱلْأَرْضُ
- the earth
- dakkan
- دَكًّا
- pounded
- dakkan
- دَكًّا
- (and) crushed
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 21)Tafsir
22
وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّاۚ ٢٢
- wajāa
- وَجَآءَ
- And comes
- rabbuka
- رَبُّكَ
- your Lord
- wal-malaku
- وَٱلْمَلَكُ
- and the Angels
- ṣaffan
- صَفًّا
- rank
- ṣaffan
- صَفًّا
- (upon) rank
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank, (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 22)Tafsir
23
وَجِايْۤءَ يَوْمَىِٕذٍۢ بِجَهَنَّمَۙ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىۗ ٢٣
- wajīa
- وَجِا۟ىٓءَ
- And is brought
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍۭ
- that Day
- bijahannama
- بِجَهَنَّمَۚ
- Hell
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- That Day
- yatadhakkaru
- يَتَذَكَّرُ
- will remember
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- man
- wa-annā
- وَأَنَّىٰ
- but how
- lahu
- لَهُ
- (will be) for him
- l-dhik'rā
- ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
- the remembrance?
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but how [i.e., what good] to him will be the remembrance? (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 23)Tafsir
24
يَقُوْلُ يٰلَيْتَنِيْ قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِيْۚ ٢٤
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- He will say
- yālaytanī
- يَٰلَيْتَنِى
- "O! I wish!
- qaddamtu
- قَدَّمْتُ
- I had sent forth
- liḥayātī
- لِحَيَاتِى
- for my life"
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 24)Tafsir
25
فَيَوْمَىِٕذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗٓ اَحَدٌ ۙ ٢٥
- fayawma-idhin
- فَيَوْمَئِذٍ
- So that Day
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- yuʿadhibu
- يُعَذِّبُ
- will punish
- ʿadhābahu
- عَذَابَهُۥٓ
- (as) His punishment
- aḥadun
- أَحَدٌ
- anyone
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment, (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 25)Tafsir
26
وَّلَا يُوْثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗٓ اَحَدٌ ۗ ٢٦
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yūthiqu
- يُوثِقُ
- will bind
- wathāqahu
- وَثَاقَهُۥٓ
- (as) His binding
- aḥadun
- أَحَدٌ
- anyone
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]. (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 26)Tafsir
27
يٰٓاَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَىِٕنَّةُۙ ٢٧
- yāayyatuhā
- يَٰٓأَيَّتُهَا
- "O
- l-nafsu
- ٱلنَّفْسُ
- soul!
- l-muṭ'ma-inatu
- ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ
- who is satisfied
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 27)Tafsir
28
ارْجِعِيْٓ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً ۚ ٢٨
- ir'jiʿī
- ٱرْجِعِىٓ
- Return
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rabbiki
- رَبِّكِ
- your Lord
- rāḍiyatan
- رَاضِيَةً
- well pleased
- marḍiyyatan
- مَّرْضِيَّةً
- and pleasing
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 28)Tafsir
29
فَادْخُلِيْ فِيْ عِبٰدِيْۙ ٢٩
- fa-ud'khulī
- فَٱدْخُلِى
- So enter
- fī
- فِى
- among
- ʿibādī
- عِبَٰدِى
- My slaves
And enter among My [righteous] servants . (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 29)Tafsir
30
وَادْخُلِيْ جَنَّتِيْ ࣖࣖ ٣٠
- wa-ud'khulī
- وَٱدْخُلِى
- And enter
- jannatī
- جَنَّتِى
- My Paradise"
And enter My Paradise." (QS. [89] Al-Fajr: 30)Tafsir
