وَالسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِۙ ١١
- wal-samāi
- وَٱلسَّمَآءِ
- By the sky
- dhāti
- ذَاتِ
- which
- l-rajʿi
- ٱلرَّجْعِ
- returns
By the sky which sends back (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 11)Tafsir
12
وَالْاَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِۙ ١٢
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- And the earth
- dhāti
- ذَاتِ
- which
- l-ṣadʿi
- ٱلصَّدْعِ
- cracks open
And [by] the earth which splits, (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 12)Tafsir
13
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌۙ ١٣
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed it
- laqawlun
- لَقَوْلٌ
- (is) surely a Word
- faṣlun
- فَصْلٌ
- decisive
Indeed, it [i.e., the Quran] is a decisive statement, (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 13)Tafsir
14
وَّمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِۗ ١٤
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- huwa
- هُوَ
- it
- bil-hazli
- بِٱلْهَزْلِ
- (is) for amusement
And it is not amusement. (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 14)Tafsir
15
اِنَّهُمْ يَكِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًاۙ ١٥
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed they
- yakīdūna
- يَكِيدُونَ
- are plotting
- kaydan
- كَيْدًا
- a plot
Indeed, they are planning a plan, (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 15)Tafsir
16
وَّاَكِيْدُ كَيْدًاۖ ١٦
- wa-akīdu
- وَأَكِيدُ
- But I am planning
- kaydan
- كَيْدًا
- a plan
But I am planning a plan. (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 16)Tafsir
17
فَمَهِّلِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا ࣖ ١٧
- famahhili
- فَمَهِّلِ
- So give respite
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- (to) the disbelievers
- amhil'hum
- أَمْهِلْهُمْ
- Give respite to them -
- ruwaydan
- رُوَيْدًۢا
- little
So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. (QS. [86] At-Tariq: 17)Tafsir
