Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Buruj Verse 8
Al-Buruj [85]: 8 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَمَا نَقَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ اِلَّآ اَنْ يُّؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَمِيْدِۙ (البروج : ٨٥)

- And not
- naqamū
- نَقَمُوا۟
- they resented
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- [of] them
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- yu'minū
- يُؤْمِنُوا۟
- they believed
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- l-ʿazīzi
- ٱلْعَزِيزِ
- the All-Mighty
- l-ḥamīdi
- ٱلْحَمِيدِ
- the Praiseworthy
Transliteration:
Wa maa naqamoo minhum illaaa aiyu'minoo billaahil 'azeezil Hameed(QS. al-Burūj:8)
English / Sahih Translation:
And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, (QS. Al-Buruj, ayah 8)

And they had no fault except that they believed in Allah, the Almighty, Worthy of all praise!
meaning, they did not commit any sin according to these people, except for their faith in Allah the Almighty, Who does not treat unjustly those who desire to be with Him. He is the Most Mighty and Most Praiseworthy in all of His statements, actions, legislation, and decrees. He decreed what happened to these servants of His at the hands of the disbelievers - and He is the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy - even though the reason for this decree is unknown to many people.
Then Allah says
