Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Inshiqaq Verse 2
Al-Inshiqaq [84]: 2 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْۙ (الإنشقاق : ٨٤)
- wa-adhinat
- وَأَذِنَتْ
- And has listened
- lirabbihā
- لِرَبِّهَا
- to its Lord
- waḥuqqat
- وَحُقَّتْ
- and was obligated
Transliteration:
Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat(QS. al-ʾInšiq̈āq̈:2)
English / Sahih Translation:
And has listened [i.e., responded] to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] (QS. Al-Inshiqaq, ayah 2)

Tafsir jalalayn
and heeds, gives ear to and, in rending itself asunder, obeys, its Lord as it should, that is, as its duty is to heed and obey,
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا
And listens to and obeys its Lord,
meaning, it listens to its Lord and obeys His command to split apart. This will occur on the Day of Judgement.
وَحُقَّتْ
and it must do so.
meaning, it is right for it to obey the command of its Lord, because it is great and cannot be rejected, nor overcome. Rather it overpowers everything and everything is submissive to it.
Then Allah says,
وَإِذَا الاْإَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
