وَاِذَا انْقَلَبُوْٓا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوْا فَكِهِيْنَۖ ٣١
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- inqalabū
- ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟
- they returned
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- to
- ahlihimu
- أَهْلِهِمُ
- their people
- inqalabū
- ٱنقَلَبُوا۟
- they would return
- fakihīna
- فَكِهِينَ
- jesting
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 31)Tafsir
32
وَاِذَا رَاَوْهُمْ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ لَضَاۤلُّوْنَۙ ٣٢
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- ra-awhum
- رَأَوْهُمْ
- they saw them
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they said
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- hāulāi
- هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- these
- laḍāllūna
- لَضَآلُّونَ
- surely have gone astray"
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost." (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 32)Tafsir
33
وَمَآ اُرْسِلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ حٰفِظِيْنَۗ ٣٣
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- But not
- ur'silū
- أُرْسِلُوا۟
- they had been sent
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- over them
- ḥāfiẓīna
- حَٰفِظِينَ
- (as) guardians
But they had not been sent as guardians over them. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 33)Tafsir
34
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُوْنَۙ ٣٤
- fal-yawma
- فَٱلْيَوْمَ
- So today
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed -
- mina
- مِنَ
- at
- l-kufāri
- ٱلْكُفَّارِ
- the disbelievers
- yaḍḥakūna
- يَضْحَكُونَ
- they will laugh
So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers, (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 34)Tafsir
35
عَلَى الْاَرَاۤىِٕكِ يَنْظُرُوْنَۗ ٣٥
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- On
- l-arāiki
- ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ
- the thrones
- yanẓurūna
- يَنظُرُونَ
- observing
On adorned couches, observing. (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 35)Tafsir
36
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوْا يَفْعَلُوْنَ ࣖ ٣٦
- hal
- هَلْ
- Have (not)
- thuwwiba
- ثُوِّبَ
- been paid
- l-kufāru
- ٱلْكُفَّارُ
- the disbelievers
- mā
- مَا
- (for) what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- yafʿalūna
- يَفْعَلُونَ
- do?
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do? (QS. [83] Al-Mutaffifin: 36)Tafsir
