Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Infitar Verse 9

Al-Infitar [82]: 9 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّيْنِۙ (الإنفطار : ٨٢)

Nay!
bal
بَلْ
But
tukadhibūna
تُكَذِّبُونَ
you deny
bil-dīni
بِٱلدِّينِ
the Judgment

Transliteration:

Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen (QS. al-ʾInfiṭār:9)

English / Sahih Translation:

No! But you deny the Recompense. (QS. Al-Infitar, ayah 9)

Never! (i.e. one should never be heedless towards him.) But you deny the Requital,

Tafsir jalalayn

No indeed! -- a deterrent against letting oneself be misled by the generosity of God, exalted be He. Rather you, that is, disbelievers of Mecca, deny Judgement, requital for deeds;

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

Nay! But you deny (the Day of) Ad-Din.

meaning, `you are only compelled to oppose the Most Generous and meet Him with disobedience, by your rejection in your hearts of the Hereafter, the recompense and the reckoning.'

Concerning Allah's statement,

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ
