Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Infitar Verse 4

Al-Infitar [82]: 4 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاِذَا الْقُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْۙ (الإنفطار : ٨٢)

wa-idhā
وَإِذَا
And when
l-qubūru
ٱلْقُبُورُ
the graves
buʿ'thirat
بُعْثِرَتْ
are overturned

Transliteration:

Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat (QS. al-ʾInfiṭār:4)

English / Sahih Translation:

And when the [contents of] graves are scattered [i.e., exposed], (QS. Al-Infitar, ayah 4)

Tafsir jalalayn

and when the tombs are overturned, [when] their earth [above them] is dug up and its dead are raised (the response to idh, `when', and all that is supplemented thereto is [the following]);

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

And when the graves Bu`thirat.

Ibn Abbas said, "searched."

As-Suddi said,

"Tub`athiru means that they will be moved and those who are in them will come out."

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
