Al-Qur'an Surah At-Takwir Verse 22

At-Takwir [81]: 22 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُوْنٍۚ (التكوير : ٨١)

wamā
وَمَا
And not
ṣāḥibukum
صَاحِبُكُم
(is) your companion
bimajnūnin
بِمَجْنُونٍ
mad

Transliteration:

Wa maa saahibukum bimajnoon (QS. at-Takwīr:22)

English / Sahih Translation:

And your companion [i.e., Prophet Muhammad] is not [at all] mad. (QS. At-Takwir, ayah 22)

Your companion (Muhammad ) is not a madman,

Tafsir jalalayn

And your companion, Muhammad (s) (wa-m shibukum; a supplement to [the clause from] innahu, `truly this is', up to the last of the oath clauses) is not a madman, as you claim.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

And your companion is not a madman. Ash-Sha`bi,

Maymun bin Mihran, Abu Salih and others who have been previously mentioned, all said,

"This refers to Muhammad ."

Allah said,

وَلَقَدْ رَاهُ

بِالاْاُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ
