اِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْۖ ١

- كُوِّرَتْ
- is wrapped up
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] . (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 1)Tafsir

وَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ انْكَدَرَتْۖ ٢
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-nujūmu
- ٱلنُّجُومُ
- the stars
- inkadarat
- ٱنكَدَرَتْ
- fall losing their luster
And when the stars fall, dispersing, (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 2)Tafsir

وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْۖ ٣
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-jibālu
- ٱلْجِبَالُ
- the mountains
- suyyirat
- سُيِّرَتْ
- are moved away
And when the mountains are removed . (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 3)Tafsir

وَاِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْۖ ٤
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-ʿishāru
- ٱلْعِشَارُ
- the full-term she-camels
- ʿuṭṭilat
- عُطِّلَتْ
- (are) left untended;
And when full-term she-camels are neglected . (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 4)Tafsir

وَاِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْۖ ٥
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-wuḥūshu
- ٱلْوُحُوشُ
- the wild beasts
- ḥushirat
- حُشِرَتْ
- are gathered
And when the wild beasts are gathered . (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 5)Tafsir

وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْۖ ٦
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-biḥāru
- ٱلْبِحَارُ
- the seas
- sujjirat
- سُجِّرَتْ
- are made to overflow
And when the seas are filled with flame (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 6)Tafsir

وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْۖ ٧
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-nufūsu
- ٱلنُّفُوسُ
- the souls
- zuwwijat
- زُوِّجَتْ
- are paired
And when the souls are paired (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 7)Tafsir

وَاِذَا الْمَوْءٗدَةُ سُىِٕلَتْۖ ٨
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-mawūdatu
- ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ
- the female infant buried alive
- su-ilat
- سُئِلَتْ
- is asked
And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked . (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 8)Tafsir

بِاَيِّ ذَنْۢبٍ قُتِلَتْۚ ٩
- bi-ayyi
- بِأَىِّ
- For what
- dhanbin
- ذَنۢبٍ
- sin
- qutilat
- قُتِلَتْ
- she was killed

وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْۖ ١٠
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- l-ṣuḥufu
- ٱلصُّحُفُ
- the pages
- nushirat
- نُشِرَتْ
- are laid open
And when the pages are spread [i.e., made public] (QS. [81] At-Takwir: 10)Tafsir
