Al-Qur'an Surah 'Abasa Verse 8

'Abasa [80]: 8 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاَمَّا مَنْ جَاۤءَكَ يَسْعٰىۙ (عبس : ٨٠)

wa-ammā
وَأَمَّا
But as for
man
مَن
(he) who
jāaka
جَآءَكَ
came to you
yasʿā
يَسْعَىٰ
striving

Transliteration:

Wa amma man jaa-aka yas'a (QS. ʿAbasa:8)

English / Sahih Translation:

But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] (QS. 'Abasa, ayah 8)

As regards the one who has come to you rushing eagerly,

Tafsir jalalayn

But as for him who comes to you hurrying (yas` is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject of [the verb] j'a, `comes')

وَهُوَ يَخْشَى
