Al-Qur'an Surah 'Abasa Verse 3
'Abasa [80]: 3 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَمَا يُدْرِيْكَ لَعَلَّهٗ يَزَّكّٰىٓۙ (عبس : ٨٠)
- wamā
- وَمَا
- But what
- yud'rīka
- يُدْرِيكَ
- would make you know
- laʿallahu
- لَعَلَّهُۥ
- that he might
- yazzakkā
- يَزَّكَّىٰٓ
- purify himself
Transliteration:
Wa maa yudreeka la'allahu yaz zakkaa.(QS. ʿAbasa:3)
English / Sahih Translation:
But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified (QS. 'Abasa, ayah 3)

What could tell you (O prophet about the prospects of the blind man?) May be, (if you had attended him properly,) he would have attained purity,

He frowned and turned away. Because there came to him the blind man. And how can you know that he might become pure?
meaning, he may attain purification and cleanliness in his soul.
