'Abasa [80]: 26 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْاَرْضَ شَقًّاۙ (عبس : ٨٠)

Transliteration:

Thumma sha qaqnal-arda shaqqa. (QS. ʿAbasa:26)

English / Sahih Translation:

Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], (QS. 'Abasa, ayah 26)

meaning, `We cause it (the water) to settle in it (the earth), and it enters into its boundaries, and mingles with the parts of the seeds that are left in the earth. From this the seeds grow, rise up and appear on the surface of the earth (in the form of vegetation).'

فَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا
