Surah (Al-Anfal)

Al-Anfal [8]: 40 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَوْلٰىكُمْ ۗنِعْمَ الْمَوْلٰى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيْرُ ۔ (الأنفال : ٨)

wa-in
وَإِن: And if

tawallaw
تَوَلَّوْا۟: they turn away

fa-iʿ'lamū
فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟: then know

anna
أَنَّ: that

l-laha
ٱللَّهَ: Allah

mawlākum
مَوْلَىٰكُمْۚ: (is) your Protector

niʿ'ma
نِعْمَ: Excellent

l-mawlā
ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ: (is) the Protector

waniʿ'ma
وَنِعْمَ: and Excellent

l-naṣīru
ٱلنَّصِيرُ: (is) the Helper

Transliteration:

Wa in tawallaw fa'lamooo annal laaha mawlaakum; ni'mal mawlaa wa ni'man naseer (QS. al-ʾAnfāl:40)

English / Sahih Translation:

But if they turn away – then know that Allah is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper. (QS. Al-Anfal, ayah 40)

And if they turn away, then, rest assured that Allah is your protector. So excellent a protector is He, and so excellent a supporter.

Allah says, if the disbelievers persist in defying and fighting you, then know that Allah is your protector, master and supporter against your enemies. Verily, what an excellent protector and what an excellent supporter
